Rav, please explain the RAMBAM, ha'Nesher ha'Gadol" His fourteen-volume Mishneh Torah still carries significant canonical authority as a codification of Talmudic law and insight to psak halakha, the Rambam stated, in strict monotheism, there is no room for an opposing supernatural evil entity, Ha-Satan is anyone who is the plays the role of The Adversary or The Accuser. Is like canvas where the artist paints his creation , God is an artist . After He created all his creation He said , ' He saw that all that He created is good" . HOW can God know what is good if there isn't bad ? , An opposing force to help distinguish between good and bad ? Because bad was already an existing force and in all that chaos and abyss of nothingness and confusion and disorder , mess before there was creation which is the original state , God from that original state created morphed , manifested, molded, fashioned creation . Which is in fact an impossible miracle nothing existed and somehow God came out with this idea of creation out of no blueprint, no diagram , no nothing to get an idea on how how creation should be designed and built,. I mean it was just totally random, unplanned, unexpected, spontaneous, everything that began its existence was just a reflection of God's mind and inner consciousness and awareness, everything that exists is in fact on so many levels and degrees a result of God's own inner consciousness . I mean we talk about of the power of imagination to imagine something not yet available , God ordained us the power of imagination too. We can imagine things that not yet exist . How did our ancestors thought about traveling faster to others countries , which back in the day they did walking taking them months just to travel from Egypt to Lebanon, Do you have any idea how many of them thought about or sighted saying or exclaimed I wish there was something to get us there faster or fly just like the birds from one place to natiher swiftly . After all those years of groainjng , sighting, dreaming imagination it finally came true with advent of cars airplanes, bullet trains , boats . If it wasn't for the power of imagination that God has given mankind which is undoubtedly a part of God's own attributes,inner core of his consciousness.. If you understand quantum mechanics how all subatomic ,atomic , particles, energy ,mass temperature came at a prefect agreement together to merge into forming everything that exists , a perfect puzzle balance of opposites , everything in creation has two naturally opposing forces . Like a battery positive and negative , temperature hot and cold , good and bad , heavy, light if you really think about it everything is ruled by opposites even before creation in genesis there was already bad so God could tell the difference between good and bad. So bad was already there and from that bad which is abyss , chaos , darkness, nothingness , canvas , background ,the original state of existence, when in fact creation itself is not the original state in whatever dimension it is . Spiritual or physical , heaven or earth , darkness is like earth's gravity always pulling us against the ground .. the yetzer hara is an energy that manifest into the form of decay , deterioration, rusting, oxidation , draining , shortening of lifespan, wasting , wearing out , . This Is why Men are evil they allow the subtle energies of that to rule them just like God told Cain sin is Waiting to rule you, but you must rule it. So sin is anything that brings or produces death in any form or shape dimensionally or physical and spiritual. That's why God told Moses here lies before you life and death and all therein, and you must choose life.. what's life ? Life is everything that sustain and maintain all kinds of life and spiritual entities alive and anything that oppose it is against life . So to be truly on God's agenda you must choose life in every decision and choices you make in life . God is not the source of death . God only creates life and Everlasting life.
