There is nothing ordinary about EXO's vocals, they are definitely in the realm of extraordinary. Their harmonies are amazing and done with so much ease, they seem easy.
So beside Kai and Sehun all of them have been in musical theatre. Chanyeol and D.O. in military ones so did Xiumin(he did one in 2021) who along with Chen and Baekhyun have been part of at least one musical though around 2014-15. Suho the leader has done 4. Latest being Mozart, this past August. Exols please correct me if there is any misinformation or lack of. Thanks for your reaction and I saw Chen and Kai too.Chen is unbelievably good. D.O also cracks me up with how laid back and calm he is when singing. Though he is more lively in other performances. I also want to know why SM took so long to let Chanyeol sing. I remember him saying that in the past he wanted to sing more but was always given the rap parts. He has a beautiful voice. All members, except Kai and Sehun have done musicals and theater. EXO's harmonization is on different level, each member got different vocal flavors but when they start harmonizing they produce well sound music. Some idols have nice vocals but they can't beat EXO's sounds when it comes to that part, they sound like one person.

The thing with D.O. is that he doesn't have his glasses on. He's basically blind in this whole show. That's why Chanyeol acts as his handler occasionally. It's not that's he's not into it. He just can't see. So it's hard to emote. This was also just 7 of 9. So I think they did pretty good.
EXO discography is so good, it really is hard to recommend where to start. Perhaps you should start with hearing these songs in full as there is a good mix of styles. You also might like to experience some of the solos, including the incredible Kai who was not in this performance (military) and Lay (also not there as he seldom is).

I’ve only recently gotten into K-pop & it is because of EXO. Didn’t realize I was starting with the legends known as Vocal Kings 😅 Definitely check out some of their live stages because they are even better live.
Vocal kings, I would suggest their live performance and their acoustic medley, It's always so much better than the studio version. Except for Kai and Sehun, I think all did musicals. Chen did In the Heights, and Baekhyun (black blazer+ gray hair) did at least one musical that was produced by SM. Chanyeol and D.O, were in a musical in the military, along with Xiumin ( light denim outfit), but Xiumin also did Hadestown, and he played the role of Orpheus for more than 6 months, I believe. As for the leader, Suho, I would say he had the most involvement in musical theater, Playing lead roles in The Man Who Laughs, Mozart, and The Last Kiss...You can find clips of his performances on ytb.

They have probably one of the BEST discography in all of Kpop. It’s best to start from the first mini album and their Christmas albums are top tier good.

You have eleven years of some of finest, most excellent performances of EXO to catch up on. They have done concerts, solos, musicals, duets, movies and dramas, variety shows, and on and on. I’ve been following them for five years and still find performances I hadn’t heard before. I would start with Mama, their debut song. It covers some of their backstory of aliens sent to earth to save earth from the Red Source. They each have a unique power. After Mama: History, Tempo , Love Shot, Lotto, Baby Don’t Cry, El Dorado. They have dance practices for all of their songs and MVs. And they have just begun filming their studio versions and behind the scenes. Their concerts are in a category of their own. I’d also watch Baekyun and Chen do I Really Didn’t Know from when they had been singing together for about a year. Then Chen has been on The Masked Singer. Suho has been in musicals. For sure listen to his Mozart songs and The Man Who Smiled. Other commenters can add thousands of other performances. Welcome to EXO!
I have not needed any other Kpop grp. Their discography is so diverse covering so many genres - you could ten more dingos easily. Then you have subunits; and solos. Apart from DO (who has a large filmography), a number of EXO are also acclaimed actors. Then you have Kai ("Mr Rover; peaches; Mmmh in the military) and Lay (China) - OT/9. This is a group always on the move always innovating. You will never find a group as multitalented. Each one shines in its own area - no weak link as they say.
I've known EXO for a long time but didn't really listened to them until the beginning of this year and their bside is really good... started to follow them and never looked back!
Exo is a vocal monster...I mean, their main rapper (Chanyeol) is equally skilled as some of the main and lead vocalists of other great K-Pop groups...If it comes to only vocals, it's safe to say that EXO is arguably the greatest K-pop boy group to ever exist...
One of them (Baekhyun) said that the take was just one, one shot, one kill. They just came in, recorded once and left, what you see is what was done. This is EXO.

EXO is legendary, hands down the best of the best. I generally don’t get attached to singers, less so to groups. I simply get attached to songs. But EXO is so extraordinary that since 4 years now I listen to them on a daily basis. EXO is the only artist/group of which I love every single song, b-sides even more so. They don’t have bad songs and their discography is super versatile that there is something for everyone’s taste. I think this, beside their crazy talent, makes them unique. On top of that, the members’ solo discographies are just as priceless. Check out Baekhyun’ “All I got” as a start into their solos to be mesmerized and get an idea what a treasure you have stumbled upon. I am sure you’ll become an EXO-L in no time. Enjoy the journey because they are worth it of your time and appreciation.

Me: More like most of them... Chen, Baekhyun, and Suho have done full seasons while Chanyeol, Xiumin and D.O. have done musicals while they were doing their military service. Recently, Suho has been playing Mozart.
EXO's talent is so underrated their popularity & visuals somehow made people assume that they're just all that but in reality they really got the talent & skills to back it all up!
They are the only group that made me so obsessed with them. And their live performances are even crazier, that's why their concerts are fastest sold out concert ticket (they are also in the top four, second and first place)

You have eleven years of some of finest, most excellent performances of EXO to catch up on. They have done concerts, solos, musicals, duets, movies and dramas, variety shows, and on and on. I’ve been following them for five years and still find performances I hadn’t heard before.
I would start with Mama, their debut song. It covers some of their backstory of aliens sent to earth to save earth from the Red Source. They each have a unique power.
After Mama: History, Tempo , Love Shot, Lotto, Baby Don’t Cry, El Dorado. They have dance practices for all of their songs and MVs. And they have just begun filming their studio versions and behind the scenes.
Their concerts are in a category of their own.
I’d also watch Baekyun and Chen do I Really Didn’t Know from when they had been singing together for about a year.
Then Chen has been on The Masked Singer.
Suho has been in musicals. For sure listen to his Mozart songs and The Man Who Smiled.

Vocal kings for a reason
I have not needed any other Kpop grp. Their discography is so diverse covering so many genres - you could ten more dingos easily. Then you have subunits; and solos. Apart from DO (who has a large filmography), a number of EXO are also acclaimed actors. Then you have Kai ("Mr Rover; peaches; Mmmh in the military) and Lay (China) - OT/9. This is a group always on the move always innovating. You will never find a group as multitalented. Each one shines in its own area - no weak link as they say.
EXO are known as being the Vocal Kings of K-Pop and this video PROVES IT!!!

I've known EXO for a long time but didn't really listened to them until the beginning of this year and their bside is really good... started to follow them and never looked back!
Exo is a vocal monster...I mean, their main rapper (Chanyeol) is equally skilled as some of the main and lead vocalists of other great K-Pop groups...If it comes to only vocals, it's safe to say that EXO is arguably the greatest K-pop boy group to ever exist...
EXO are AMAZING!! Them and BTOB are my go-to for vocals.
One of them (Baekhyun) said that the take was just one, one shot, one kill. They just came in, recorded once and left, what you see is what was done. This is EXO.

EXO is legendary, hands down the best of the best. I generally don’t get attached to singers, less so to groups. I simply get attached to songs. But EXO is so extraordinary that since 4 years now I listen to them on a daily basis. EXO is the only artist/group of which I love every single song, b-sides even more so. They don’t have bad songs and their discography is super versatile that there is something for everyone’s taste. I think this, beside their crazy talent, makes them unique. On top of that, the members’ solo discographies are just as priceless. Check out Baekhyun’ “All I got” as a start into their solos to be mesmerized and get an idea what a treasure you have stumbled upon. I am sure you’ll become an EXO-L in no time. Enjoy the journey because they are worth it of your time and appreciation.

Oh you should definitely check their solos (Baekhyun, D.O, Suho, Xiumin and of course, you have heard of Chen) and Chanyeol and Sehun has a subunit called EXO-SC! There's also a subunit called EXO-CBX consisting of Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin! Seriously all of it are so so good.
