- In this week's car news wrap David Taylor looks at a brand-new flagship Defender that's powered by BMW. It is confirmed for South Africa and will be the most powerful and luxurious Defender yet.
Following that is the brand-new Citroen C3 Aircross that's coming to South Africa at a price way cheaper than the outgoing model. That's suspicious!
Finally, there's a new Chinese brand on its way and Dave unpacks where it fits in the greater Chery Group.

👋
U have to be the best presenter of all time on this channel, rich and tastefully done, not forced not cringe, not a imitation, just original and relaxed
Glad SA is gonna have Jetour finally. The car is very popular in Angola especially the X70. They’re basically affordable luxury SUVs. Focusing on beautiful and elegant design but the engines are often underpowered. The X70 plus in Angola became an instant hit especially because of its very affordable pricing. I feel the SA market will absolutely love the Jetour T2 as well. Looks exactly like a Defender, 2 liter turbo engine, good off-road functions, producing 250 HP at around $35 000. Very few cars can beat that pricing. I feel if SA gets the pricing right , the car will be a huge hit because of the beautiful designs of the vehicles.
💯
I appreciate your insights - thank you!
I'm honestly waiting for the Jetour T2 2025🔥
I hope that comes, especially if its at a good price.
Great video , professional , informative and refreshing . As far as Defender critical mass is concerned, I guess JLR believe that if you throw enough mud at a wall some of it must stick
Good delivery of pertinent points
Excellent, I value your programs since I dumped the tv motoring channel 189
My addition please do morr such content
The moment he mentioned Indian built, i choked with laughter. The engine and gearbox might be good. But expect headaches with body parts
I don't think Citroen would approach India just to sell crap cars. I mean TATA is a famous Indian Brand and TATA owns Land-Rover/Jaguar. The latest VW Polo Sedan are also built in India, even the Suzuki Jimny
This is become my new weekly Motoring news paper 🙂
Thank you, my news video goes live on a Tuesday afternoon 😊
The JETOUR Dashing have a lot of Lamborghini Urus frontal look. This will be the popular model as I have seen it in person. JETOUR also have a boxy T2 model. If that comes to SA it they will struggle to have enough stock.
seems all V8 is being phased out in Australia
JLR tends to do that with its products.
The Jetour looks like the new Tiguan
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Ciro?
A Defender for R3.5mil yah neh.
Defender 3.5 bar😢
I love that we're getting another Chinese brand. But man it feels like we're getting overcrowded with Chinese SUVs😂
There must be a few hot hatches under the GWM or Cherry groups right?.
There are also ton of Chinese EVs we don't have. Yes I know EV don't make too much sense in SA. But still
I hear you, there's a sedan called a Chery Arrizo 8 which I have driven in China, very cool thing. Not confirmed for South Africa yet, but Chery SA is considering bringing it in.
