It’s £29 now. Pretty expensive but I enjoyed so it’s worth it for me. Maintaining such an enormous property is really expensive. Not to mention that they have to pay staffs salaries. If you just want to pay peanuts then don’t whine if magnificent historic structures like this will be left to decay sooner as the cost of maintaining it is already unbearable. The government couldn’t sustain all the maintenance of such historic structures (if there’s any).
It is worth the price of entry, they really do put a lot of effort into making it a fun day. You could pay more to go to a theme park instead and mostly stand in queue most of the day :D
That is a stunning castle and you visited on such a nice day. It really has a fascinating history and is an incredibly imposing building. Thanks for sharing. 😀
Too expensive, £25 each no exception even for a child . Then be prepared to get stung inside ,everything is super inflated prices . The dungeon visit is extra .Stratford visit was reasonable and no businesses trying to rip tourists off this way . Holidays in England are far expensive for your average family of 4 like us who don't rely on credits and benefits. Never again
I have been visiting Warwick since 1984 and find it now too commercialized and too expensive; it is no longer the almost dream-like reminder of times past that I saw on my first visit and with which I fell in love. As a teacher, I brought numerous students to this castle to teach them about castle structure and about the history of the area; no more, however. It has been priced out of both my range and those of my students or others I wish could have seen what I saw nearly 40 years ago.
You say Stratford doesn't try to rip you off, but have you seen the price to get into the Shakespeare museum? The last I checked, it was more than Warwick Castle for an hours visit at most.
Just returned home on Sunday the 5th Jan , we visit and stay in the cabins most months occasionally if a day free we end up back the next week , there is something about the whole of Warwick I and my 2 mid teens just love , and such a bonus to spend nights in the grounds , we have become well known for our visits esp Pip the chef for breakfast Planning Febs visit already . @@purpleflight9083 Thanks for the comment! The whole of warwick is such a lovely place to visit. Have you tried visiting the nearby Stratford upon Avon too? The home of Shakespeare. Thanks again :)
@@purpleflight9083 I'm heading to Ludlow soon and cannot wait to film inside the castle. There will be a video from Ludlow going up soon in the next few weeks. I need to go to Hever too!
I'm a descendant of Earl of Warwick my great great or great great great grandma was a Warwick. She married lower class so she was disowned by her family. Last year at our family reunion we laughed because we could've gotten our title back for $250,000,000. Soooo that's never gonna happen 😆 🤣 😂
I worked there in the mid 1980,s during a spring and summer season. I was there working in the cafe but , and being a huge history fan that the castle is so stunningly beautiful first thing in the morning before the tourists arrive, with its sense of majesty and battle. The haunting cry of the Peacocks resonate around and fir a few minutes it can feel like you have gone back in time . I learnt to drive on the state in a white mini van ..,. Happy days.
People must have had nightmares being threatened with confinement down Warwick’s oubliette, it’s utterly terrifying and apparently one of the worst in Medieval Europe.
Those crosses in the castle walls look like their crosses are upside down from far away but normal way up close. I wonder if that was meant to be for their enemies or if they just look like that on camera.
Sorry but why do you end every sentence with an up turn. Incredibly annoying.
English History Rocks!!!🇬🇧🏴💖💕💯🥰
Cannot listen to his voice, and I am British,
Yeah, so drony. Not suited at all to narration.
Certainly the most expensive castle to visit in Britain.
Roughly how much?
@@MatheusBianchiRock £25 it may have gone up.

Since Tussauds took over Warwick Castle it is over commercialised and criminally expensive.

Yep, agree.

It’s weird that they have a little figure of Henry the eighth in a baroque setting room I doubt his surroundings would’ve looked that way

Drowning in water would have been unusual.
I have always wondered what the people of England really think about Royalty? As A American I think it’s nonsense how Kings and Queens even exist
It's a mixed feeling I'd say majority of people here in England support the royals tho up in Scotland it's like 50/50 divide
In my experience I'd say 10% don't care 20% are against the rest support it
Was my ancestor too in our family tree

the upside down cross can represent St. Peter’s Cross
Just saying
Most of these castels looks like a prison OUTSIDE...🌍

It's huge! When you walk in the room you can't help but be amazed at the size of the painting.
Hmm not for me. It is hard to chose. For me it's a toss up between Arundel, Dover, bamburgh, or Edinburgh
