I love the girl groups of the 60’s, I worked for some of their agents in William Morris agency, what a fun job. Sometimes they would give me some dancing lessons. I still remember those days, fantastic girls. I also worked with William B William’s Frank Sinatra and drummer Buddy Rich’s agent. Buddy was great to work for, I set up his gigs, a lot of fun, and I made a lot of points with my dad and grandmother who was best buddies with Frank’s mother.

Lots of down memory lane songs, music I heard my parents ,aunties, uncles and cousins grandfolks who played the old 45s that they collected in their days ,though I was a toddler growing up around the music from the era of the 50&60s born in 54.. the music of the era was etched in my memory though it was put aside for a while and almost forgotten . Hearing it all over again is amazing and nothing compares to those days of music ,styles and, fashion . Very nostalgic some sad some happy . now I'm in my late 60s. And just love hearing it all again.
I 'Ve enjoyed music all my life. But music from the 50s & 60s era is special... And nothing compares to it. I heard my Dad sing &play his favorites a lot of Nat king Cole, Brook Benton the platters, Country and Gospel every time we went to our Grandfolks for visits and holidays. Thanks for the music of the old age teens days. It's invigorating. At least it makes me smile again.

That would've been your finishing school, then, I guess. :-)
I didn't get there until about 1969 or 1970, working in a boutique at Piccadilly Circus, sometimes in Carnaby Street. Lots of fun, even tho the whole Swinging London thing had become more of a tourist attraction than a live happening by then. It was the era when all those great rock stars (Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, etc) started dying, and every time one went, we got a load of T-shirts to sell with their faces on them...

Wow!! I have seen hours of footage of the Girl Groups but a LOT of this I'd not seen before. I had seen The Angels, the Lesley Gore, the Blossoms (Needle, Name of the Place) and Lulu clips.
INteresting to see The Shangri-La's with 4 girls (including Mary's sister).
    Who is that at 7:05?

At 1:59 you could have chosen a Cilla Black song with more life, maybe anyone who had a heart or your my world ,instead of a little known number

I liked this video, except for the fact that the names of the singers weren't listed except for Lesley Gore. Why was that?

That wasn't "Mr. Sandman" the Chordettes were singing. It was "Lollipop, Lollipop."
You didn't say who was singing "I Like It Like That," the last song in the video. Why was that?
