Budenholzer has one system and it revolves around a center that can shoot 3s. He's completely inflexible which is why the Bucks got rid of him.
They have nothing of value for Booker. Iannis and Lillard are out of deal. Middleton is worse than Jimmy: old, always hurt, a shadow of his old self. Portis is a backup. Lopez is ancient. Bucks had this same problem last year when Iannis gave his passive aggressive ultimatum and they dealt Jrue right away because he was only one of trade value.

This team is 9-2 with all their players healthy and 5-0 with KD and Booker (minus Beal)... the real problem is Beal is useless and does not fit with the team. Nurk being bad they can still manage if Allen, Royce, Dunn, etc are playing. Bud not willing to keep Beal on the bench and not giving Bol time is whats killing them. KD and Booker with defenders around them should be able to make them a Top 4 team... a taller stronger defensive Power Forward would make them a true contender.

DBook is a superstar but kind of very low on that superstar level. Just look at it rationally, he's good at everything, but not exceptional at anything. This team is 9-2 with all their players healthy and 5-0 with KD and Booker (minus Beal)... the real problem is Beal is useless and does not fit with the team. Nurk being bad they can still manage if Allen, Royce, Dunn, etc are playing. Bud not willing to keep Beal on the bench and not giving Bol time is whats killing them. KD and Booker with defenders around them should be able to make them a Top 4 team... a taller stronger defensive Power Forward would make them a true contender.

DBook is a superstar but kind of very low on that superstar level. Just look at it rationally, he's good at everything, but not exceptional at anything. This league is for the hyper monsters that have at least one caracteristic that's unmatachable, like a perfect shoot or a monster athlete. DBook simply doesn't have an attribute like that. He's good at everything but also everything that he does is stoppable.

Nurkic and Plumlee aren't good centers. If it was up to me I would have kept Landale and Eubanks. The Suns have no rim protection and then try to play a "just outscore your opponent" type of game. That doesn't work. Defense wins games.
Sandale and Eubanks aren't backups. They third centers. Plumlee is a usable backup, Nurkic is a starter for teams in 20-30 range.
If defense wins game having their big three together means you need a Marcus smart AND Rudy to cover for their horrible defense. You going to need two DPOY to try to cover.
They chose to put money into Beal instead of a good center, this is what they get.
