Two Convicts in a Haystack - a Nebraska Story

Two convicts of the penitentiary in Lincoln, NE escaped and walked to Dwight, NE in prison flip-flops during a snowstorm in 1949. They were taken in by the community, thawed out and stuffed with duck, kraut and kolache.
