Stoked for this game but I hate what they've done with the bloodsucker. They're making the same mistake FO4 did with deathclaws. It was way scarier hearing that heavy breathing as it circled you waiting for the perfect moment to strike, flashing by with a terrifying roar, and clawing you to shreds. Or locking you in an inescapable grasp while draining the life from your veins. Not shoving you to the ground in a cheesy animation and relying the monsters appearance to do the scaring. It's about the threat they pose, they're bloodthirsty monsters, not bullies.

"Life-simulating system “A-life 2.0” that makes the game world feel alive as never before" Hopefully this means we still have A-Life even if it's a bit different from what we're used to, even more fleshed out in theory. Yeah, nothing beats the jank of A-Life at times where npcs will just....stand out in a field for no reason, but hopefully with the new A Life system we get a bit better results.

Please don't make a zombified stalker a zombie. In the original they had their own lines, it was quite sad to listen to them mumbling about their mother, daughter or how it hurts them. Sometimes I didn't have the heart to shoot them. Firefights - why does the enemy have to keep talking, revealing his position and tactics? It doesn't make sense and it looks weird.

Enemies can almost always see each other, I'm not talking about tactical conversation, I'm talking about nonsensical shouting, which is purposely included to make the game easier for the player. I played paintball and all kinds of variations, we didn't yell at each other like retards.
There's a saying in the military. Shoot, move, communicate, kill. Communication is key in combat so them yelling at each-other is actually more realistic than quiet telepathic drones.

@@folks4152 bro, don't expect on modders, stalker 2 is built on unreal engine, what this mean? no standalone mods, limited modifications even with a sdk, gsc will be much more strict with mods, much more harder to mod compared to the original games even having a "better engine".

I really hope they incorporate some aspects of stealth in the game engine, the first games where annoying with that, even modders couldn't do much with the engine limitations.
Every time I see stuff like this my constant thought is “the modding community will fix this.” Like that reticle, the reloads, and the no low ready(atleast I haven’t seen it yet)

It is perfect, not too glazed, not too bland, great cutscenes, great movement, great weapon animations and lightening and the best part the modding comunity would patch any rough spots. People forget about the quality and beg for more content, well op 2.2 is full of content go figure that out...the game being simple is mad good.
the graphics are great, tho i think the windows should be dirtier. the gun play looks lacking, it feels like am looking at far cry 4 footage and thats not a good thing aswell as a very basic reload animation and healing. also on a personal note, after playing so much modded stalker it feels so odd looking at the player just grabbing artifacts with his bare hands and putting it in his pockets instead of using a container for them lol.
ts, you won’t understand what kind of game this is for people from the CIS, it’s like Fallout for Americans. As a Ukrainian, the fallout seems somehow strange to me and I don’t like it visually, but this is my opinion, for example, it’s more familiar, something familiar, so judging by 10 minute excerpts about the game, well, that’s stupid.

Preordered the ultimate edition the day it came out on Steam. I won't regret it, since it's GSC's game, a continuation of the games that carried my childhood. I don't think it'll be bad since they're really taking their time instead of being pushed by sponsors to release it as fast as possible. But even if it was bad, modders would fix everything, don't underestimate STALKER's community.

This looks raw af...Animations are stiff, bloodsucker movement is scripted and artificial, it does not react to gun shots in any way, it just keeps sprinting like nothing's hapenning. When you shoot its dead body there are no bood or tissue splashes, it's just a 3d model. Facial animations look good on pre-renders, but in game they look emotion-less and stiff. What's good: I liked the lighting and sound. THese are gourgeous. Hope GSC will fix these awry animations
Yeah, this is true Stalker atmosphere. I needed this video before to feel Prypiat wind. Also I like this sound artifact scanner at 4:20, seems they improve it.
Kinda disappointed that in the first gameplay trailer they showed us pictures in picture scopes which makes the game feel much more immersive but apparently they removed it and the way he throws these mags on the ground in this setting is odd nonetheless it looks like an OK game

Или пользоваться чужими. От того русский язык на Украине-это до сих пор основной язык городских жителей. А про что сталкер? Про город Припять, про атомную электростанцию и так далее. А не про село. Они думают, что отменив русский язык, так победят Россию в войне. На деле же они просто потеряют деньги на продажах в РФ. А российские игроки просто скачают игру на торренте, на котором, как уже обещали, энтузиасты выложат и озвучку на русском. В итоге игроки всё равно поиграют в игру в том виде, в котором они хотят и бесплатно, а разработчик только потерял деньги и время. Это его выбор, безусловно, но любая игра-это в первую очередь бизнес проект. С этой точки зрения их поступок и поведение противоречит основам их бизнеса.

Something about the guns doesn't look right... like the materials are too glossy, not reflecting the ambient lighting properly, almost glowing. Also annoying that they're constantly equipped, with a big crosshair in the middle of the screen; realistically, one would holster/sling their weapons when exploring.

What, a British stalker can't travel to the zone and explore it? The original trilogies all felt like they were a different stalker, why wouldn't this one follow that path.

Please do not make artifacts bulky, they should be small, the size of a 0.33 cola can, and please make an animation for them when they are collected into a container if it is in your inventory ♥
I just hope it will have more loot then previous games. I played all 3 stalker games this month. I played them as a kid before ofc but this time around I was shocked how there was almost no loot in buildings, quest areas and such. I somehow don't remember it to be this way.

Looks like a lot is scripted and it looks like another metro. Mutants shouldnt be able to teleport... Or they are like laggy zombies... Its obviously made for looks. So i doubt there will be something special about it that will make it more than a one time play through game.
The enemy voice lines during combat is quite bad, ruins the immersion a bit and feels like it belongs to totally different genre of games, something arcady like Far Cry or cartoony games like Spider-Man.
set it to ukrainian and it is virtually the same as enemy callouts in every other game. if you don't speak the language you don't know what they're saying and are less informed, but if you do then you know they have always been calling out everything.
I'm a huge stalker fan, but man those first 3 minutes of gameplay were.... kinda dogshit ? That bloodsuckers wasn't scary in the slightest, I hope we get to set the damage scaling because that fight was way too long
im new to the stalker games, havent even played one yet. is there damage scaling options in previous installments in the franchize without using any mods? im on xbox if thats important, though trying to get a PC mainly for tarkov
i absolutely hate leveled damage, i feel like any gun and almost any caliber should do reasonable damage, ive heard it sometimes takes a few mag to drop an enemy and that would kill the gameplay for me

I've realized half way my idea of how this game should be was more so based off anomaly or GAMMA and not so much what the original stalker games were. It might take another Anomaly or GAMMA type mod before this one becomes the experience a lot of people are looking for.
Old stalker voice acting, music, and characters were better. It felt so good back then. This on the other hand might look good. But so many things are missing... Voice acting is not as great as the old one. (Stalker has women's? That's kinda new)
I never played a stalker game before but this looks right up my alley can't wait to play. the thing I noticed, though, is that it's only a single-player game it would be amazing to play with a friend looting, and exploring these places together would be awesome
I think they toned down the graphics from what was shown in the early trailers. I understand they were delayed several times, but I didn't think this would lead to a drop in quality.
Hoping a lot of this HUD Is optional and not all of the guns are super modernised, I appreciate some old wooden furniture on my AKs. Modern guns look like lego. Hopefully Ukrainian language can be enabled too.

While I agree that the gameplay is the most important aspect, it's reasonable to expect some improvement in voice acting, especially considering the game's age. The voice acting might not be as jarring as it was in 2007, but it's disappointing that it hasn't seen significant improvement alongside the graphics, considering the 5 to 6 years of development.

Preordered the ultimate edition the day it came out on Steam. I won't regret it, since it's GSC's game, a continuation of the games that carried my childhood. I don't think it'll be bad since they're really taking their time instead of being pushed by sponsors to release it as fast as possible. But even if it was bad, modders would fix everything, don't underestimate STALKER's community.

This looks raw af...Animations are stiff, bloodsucker movement is scripted and artificial, it does not react to gun shots in any way, it just keeps sprinting like nothing's hapenning. When you shoot its dead body there are no bood or tissue splashes, it's just a 3d model. Facial animations look good on pre-renders, but in game they look emotion-less and stiff.
What's good: I liked the lighting and sound. THese are gourgeous. Hope GSC will fix these awry animations

Kinda disappointed that in the first gameplay trailer they showed us pictures in picture scopes which makes the game feel much more immersive but apparently they removed it and the way he throws these mags on the ground in this setting is odd nonetheless it looks like an OK game

Или пользоваться чужими. От того русский язык на Украине-это до сих пор основной язык городских жителей. А про что сталкер? Про город Припять, про атомную электростанцию и так далее. А не про село. Они думают, что отменив русский язык, так победят Россию в войне. На деле же они просто потеряют деньги на продажах в РФ. А российские игроки просто скачают игру на торренте, на котором, как уже обещали, энтузиасты выложат и озвучку на русском. В итоге игроки всё равно поиграют в игру в том виде, в котором они хотят и бесплатно, а разработчик только потерял деньги и время. Это его выбор, безусловно, но любая игра-это в первую очередь бизнес проект. С этой точки зрения их поступок и поведение противоречит основам их бизнеса.

Damn, I just listened to Deftones' song Poltergeist over this gameplay and it was just bad ass.
Something about the guns doesn't look right... like the materials are too glossy, not reflecting the ambient lighting properly, almost glowing. Also annoying that they're constantly equipped, with a big crosshair in the middle of the screen; realistically, one would holster/sling their weapons when exploring.

What, a British stalker can't travel to the zone and explore it? The original trilogies all felt like they were a different stalker, why wouldn't this one follow that path.
@@dhowting I mean sure, but how many British stalkers are there actually gonna be? It’s not gonna be all of them, or even a large portion of them. 1 or 2 English speaking NPCs would be fine, but this is a Ukrainian game set in Ukraine. 90% of the voices should be Ukrainian in my opinion.
@@MilkTestingMan it should be half and half Russian/Ukrainian, there would be a TON of Russian Stalkers if something like this were to happen. more or less what was done in the first games. Nothing against Ukraine or Russia just saying it makes more sense.

I just hope it will have more loot then previous games. I played all 3 stalker games this month. I played them as a kid before ofc but this time around I was shocked how there was almost no loot in buildings, quest areas and such. I somehow don't remember it to be this way.

Looks like a lot is scripted and it looks like another metro. Mutants shouldnt be able to teleport... Or they are like laggy zombies... Its obviously made for looks. So i doubt there will be something special about it that will make it more than a one time play through game.
Couple caveats, at 0:32 when the pylon falls it makes no sound. Also when the bloodsucker attacks 1:58 there is not attack sound. Very odd

The enemy voice lines during combat is quite bad, ruins the immersion a bit and feels like it belongs to totally different genre of games, something arcady like Far Cry or cartoony games like Spider-Man.

set it to ukrainian and it is virtually the same as enemy callouts in every other game. if you don't speak the language you don't know what they're saying and are less informed, but if you do then you know they have always been calling out everything.

I'm a huge stalker fan, but man those first 3 minutes of gameplay were.... kinda dogshit ? That bloodsuckers wasn't scary in the slightest, I hope we get to set the damage scaling because that fight was way too long
im new to the stalker games, havent even played one yet. is there damage scaling options in previous installments in the franchize without using any mods? im on xbox if thats important, though trying to get a PC mainly for tarkov
i absolutely hate leveled damage, i feel like any gun and almost any caliber should do reasonable damage, ive heard it sometimes takes a few mag to drop an enemy and that would kill the gameplay for me

I've realized half way my idea of how this game should be was more so based off anomaly or GAMMA and not so much what the original stalker games were. It might take another Anomaly or GAMMA type mod before this one becomes the experience a lot of people are looking for.

Old stalker voice acting, music, and characters were better. It felt so good back then. This on the other hand might look good. But so many things are missing... Voice acting is not as great as the old one. (Stalker has women's? That's kinda new)

I never played a stalker game before but this looks right up my alley can't wait to play. the thing I noticed, though, is that it's only a single-player game it would be amazing to play with a friend looting, and exploring these places together would be awesome

I think they toned down the graphics from what was shown in the early trailers. I understand they were delayed several times, but I didn't think this would lead to a drop in quality.

I think the skybox or the lighting is off. Some shots look photorealistic and some look like Garrysmod.
Hoping a lot of this HUD Is optional and not all of the guns are super modernised, I appreciate some old wooden furniture on my AKs.

While I agree that the gameplay is the most important aspect, it's reasonable to expect some improvement in voice acting, especially considering the game's age. The voice acting might not be as jarring as it was in 2007, but it's disappointing that it hasn't seen significant improvement alongside the graphics, considering the 5 to 6 years of development.
