So, this is were it all started. :) I've been binge watching the entire channel and every video, giving every one a well deserved 'thumbs up'! I really enjoy when Steve and Alicja go exploring or just goofing around. So comfortable and enjoyable. Like the failed overnight camp in a culvert. Great post. Thanks!
Yes I'm doing that too now. I recently discovered Steve's channel and am so impressed with the tell-it-like-it- is approach. It's so helpful for people with limited funds. And of course it's very entertaining and informative of visits to places outwith the UK. 🏴🇨🇮🙋
My wife and I have probably watched close to a hundred of your videos so I thought I’d go back and see where it all started! Somehow time just flies by when watching your travels, great job 👏 Scotland seems a long long ways away from here in California! 🚀
@@steve-marsh No need to get nervous, even your early stuff is great. In fact, after watching this I scrolled through the list and realized I had already watched quite a few of your videos from that same era, I guess RUclips recommended them to me. One difference I have noticed, in your recent videos you've gotten amazingly good at "off-the-cuff" narration right in the moment, where earlier your narration was mostly done in post. I frequently think "how did he know to say that perfect thing to advance the narrative right in the moment?" I guess you're just a natural talent! :) Did you do any kind of creative work before your RUclips career?
Good video. Makes a refreshing change to watch a video like this rather than the usual aviation videos featuring the best biz or first seats on Emirates, Qatar and the like...
So fun to see the beginning! Talk about a quick growth spirt in only two years! Congratulations on all of your fun, fascinating and tantalizing videos. Seeing this, you have really come a long way! Thank you and keep them coming!

Roger Scott and to you Sir! Thanks so much for watching! I’m thinking to upload some random unedited footage just so all those of us who want to be up there above the clouds can see and hear it once more! Take care and thanks again!
Loganair is a great wee airline. I was working down in Norwich for nearly 6 months last year and did 4 return flights to Edinburgh and back with Loganair in that time. 2 return flights on the Dornier 328 and 2 return flights on the Embraer 145 (I’m sure that was the numbers for both but I could be wrong) Flew up and down last Easter weekend and we were given wee Malteaser Easter bunnies instead of caramel wafers - nice touch I thought 👍🏻

I first saw your night out in Inverness video, 😂 and we have have binge watched your videos for the last couple of months. 😂 We love your fresh no frills style of travel. So now I’ve watched your very first video. Your likes and followers have spiked. Keep going. We look forward to lots more 😃
Hi Steve. It’s a sign of a great channel when being “late to the party” I am smitten and just have to binge watch ALL of you videos from the very first. Wish me luck. 🤞👏👏👍😎
Very good inaugural video, Steve. I love airports and planes but I think I prefer them on video with a good commentary. Great job! I've still to experince Loganair but I remember well when British Caledonian was Scotland's airline!
I used to fly on an Embraer jet from Bristol to Norwich and it was a very impressive craft. I'm moving to Scotland as soon as I can and am going to fly many local routes and also do a lot of sea journeys on my bucket list.

Well - finally made my way to your first video! Which I guess is really my 281st! Only took me 2.5 years. Congrats on 5 years almost to the day mate! Btw I just noticed the Brittany Ferries one is up to 1 million views, so you’ll be sailing with them again soon I guess 😂 Now to see if I can watch all of Scott’s back to the beginning!

Great airplane the Saab 2000. I used to fly one in Switzerland for the company Crossair which later became SWISS International Air Lines. Take travelling around at this time.
Very interesting Steve...brings back many memories. Have you flown to Fair Isle yet? Loganajr used to fly us from Sumburgh to Fair Isle (about 20 minutes provided the sheep on the Fair Isle runway cleared quickly) in a Britten Norman Islander whenever IBA (ITV) staff visited the joint IBA/BBC TV relay station (it was the old radar station and is now owned/operated by Arqiva). We stayed in the station in comfortable beds. Lovely people on the Island but if it was too rough for the single-crewed Islander to take us off we had a most uncomfortable three/four hour journey back to Shetland in the Good Shepherd fishing boat based on the Island. Nearly 40 years ago but still very fresh in my memory! More of the same please...I have thoroughly enjoyed your trips so far! Regards, Rob.
Rob Mannion Thanks so much for watching Rob and for the awesome reply too! The bit about the sheep had me laughing out loud :) I’d love to go to Fair Isle, seen it from a distance, sometimes just a flicker of the lighthouse at night, but that just makes me want to go even more. I saw a bbc documentary on it recently. Had considered taking a boat, but if the flight is still running, that’s the one for me! Foula is another island on the radar (and St Kilda) ohhh so many dreams! I’ll try and make it to at least one of them this year! Thanks again!

maria cornwallis thanks for the feedback. My first ever attempt at a video on RUclips and it’s getting slated. I can only do my best in tricky circumstances with bad audio, background noise and multiple clips stitched together. I really didn’t realise RUclips could be so mean.
@@steve-marsh I don't think people mean to be mean, it's just that the whole point of watching these sorts of videos (if you are an aircraft enthusiast) is to experience the flight, and that includes the sound of the engines, flaps, undercarriage, ambient cabin noise etc. Music is OK for scenic shots on the ground or maybe boring parts of the flight but during take off and landing I suggest it is better to let the plane make the soundtrack! Anyway I have subscribed so I can watch more videos from you.
DerekGM6 thanks so much for the support! I just took it a bit to heart because it was my very first video and I try my best. @@steve-marsh steve im on messenger just look for picture
@@steve-marsh steve i cant send photos on this but the nose cone is the actuall size of the 737800 ng .So when you are in it its exactly the same as the real one .We know its accurate because we have a friend who flys the real one for dubai .When you go for a flight because you have wrap round screen you absolutely feel as if your in the air .It was built entirely by my friend to say hes a wizard with electrics is an under statement … just get in touch ill send you photos .We are anoraks so we fly it as its done with all the proper flow charts so its not just push button and go
I was enjoying that till the unnecessary stupid music started
maria cornwallis thanks for the feedback.
I do take stuff on board though, and will try to develop a balance of style, but it’s just a wee hobby and I have to be happy with the content myself and remember that different people like different things. Cheers for watching, cheers for the sub!
@@steve-marsh Sorry, I didn't mean to sound rude
maria cornwallis no worries, appreciate it, sorry for taking it to heart! 👍🏼
