  • After another update coming just two weeks after the normal update at the beginning of the month, here is a TEST.
Another Copyright test with Soundstripe music - Did Cyberlink and Soundstripe fix the copyright problems as promised or it just another case of "Fool Me once, shame on you. Fool me twice.......Aw, dang me!"
UPDATE - Nope! Still got a copyright notification on Soundstripe's music. Come on you two guys. Can't you get this figured out?

Just as a follow-up, this video used one of Soundstripe's music tracks. But it STILL resulted in a COPYRIGHT NOTICE. Cyberlink soon released a CODE method which required a special code number to be included in the video description of each video if it included a Soundstripe music track. That code method seems to be working as of this date.

    I don't have the answer, I haven't used PD in a while.

Yeah, I have an answer. Unfortunately RUclips won't let me say it. LOL

So, did you get a copyright notice?

Well, I thought that second update coming this late in the month would have been the one to fix things. But after re-starting the program, I couldn't see anything changed. Nothing. Nada. So I made the TEST video with one of Soundstripe's songs and sure enough, 2 hours later I got slapped with another Copyright Notice claiming it was owned by Soundstripe. Nothing got fixed. Still makes me wonder about that second update. What the heck was that for? Cyberlinki does have have a "What's New" for that update. Must be a big company secret.

@@Baldy-1 I'm really starting to have my doubts about using Cyber Link as my go to video editor. They should at least post a warning that using soundstripe on you tube will get you a copyright notice.

The poor implementation of using Soundstripe's music by Cyberlink is not a total deal changer for me in using Power Director. Even before Soundstripe, Power Director included more than enough background music. And then there is the Sound Library at RUclips. And the Internet is full of music with Creative Commons licenses. So for that past month or so, I have just avoided using any of Soundstripe's music (other than the Test video of this week).

That one part should have read "Cyberlink does NOT have a "What's New" for that (most recent) update.
