Especially hated that he ended up in jail for many years. I would have liked it if he and Noah and Lily at least ended on good terms.
Yes, it looks like water weight. My guess is heart problems or lung problems. My mom had heart issues and when they discovered it and gave her a diuretic she went down like 50 pounds. She kept saying she ate hardly anything but was gaining weight. She was right. Sadly she did not live much longer after that, her heart was too damaged.
So sad what happened to ATWT in the years near the end. I think many still watched bc we couldn't let go, not bc it was enjoyable. The characters and writing became unrecognizable to the Marland era viewers.
I have to agree with you. The soap became more about Holden & the re-cast Lily and veteran characters like Lisa became more of a sideline comic relief. I miss the Hughes Family. RIP Kim…

Emma was a strong, remarkable woman. As were Lily and Lucinda.

I stopped watching, because it got silly. I wish they had kept Damian and Meh together. All Lily did was hurt him.
