    You have probably worked this out by now, however I will mention it anyway. Try to balance the weight evenly each side to avoid bias on one side. Keep the heavy items on the bottom to keep the centre of gravity low. It might not be the most convenient but it will be for the best.

    Another Sunday, another video. It's good to see that the gear you have is affordable, you gave me a few ideas. I would take a little less stuff, because I wouldn't need the drone, and all the camera gear etc. Looking forward to the next adventure. Rob.

    I agree with the way you have done things Marc. So many people spend all their money on top of the line camping and cooking gear and don't leave enough money for gas or the trip itself. Simple pots and pans, a simple waterproof tent and comfortable sleeping bag and you're good. Why spend $600 on a tent when you can get away with $100. I have owned both and the $100 was just fine and if it wasn't, I have never been anywhere in the world I couldn't just buy something to replace it if it was horrible.

    • @MarcTravels
      @MarcTravels  2 года назад

      Agreed! Thanks for tuning in 🤙🏼

    • @torytrae1974
      @torytrae1974 2 года назад +2

      I cannot agree about the tent at all. If you go to Iceland with a cheap not-storm proof tent you are set up for some serious trouble and just gambling on the weather - Iceland is well known to have hefty storms that regularly destroy tents. Good luck when you are out in the highlands alone during such an event. Just because someone was lucky with the weather does not mean you should not be prepared. I have been to Iceland 18 times and would never go to the highlands without a solid tent.

    • @MarcTravels
      @MarcTravels  2 года назад +1

      @@torytrae1974 I mean the tent was alright. I think at some point any tent will just take off in Storm. 600€ or 100€. It’s a heavy wait single tent, I would have been alright and I also endured bad weather. But thanks for your input! Always appreciated 🙌🏼🤗 cheers, Marc

    • @torytrae1974
      @torytrae1974 2 года назад +1

      @@MarcTravels If you do not hike and do not need to care about tent weight then of course, you can go cheaper/heavier - does not matter if the bike needs to carry it :) I was always hiking by foot. I have a 1200 EUR tent that is classified for Everest expeditions and this will not go down in a storm.

    • @MarcTravels
      @MarcTravels  2 года назад +1

      @@torytrae1974 yes light and good is expensive I understand! And also, I always do camp grounds, very easy camper🤗 I understand for what you do the tent must me top quality! Very good 🤙🏼

  • @fabiopunk1661
    @fabiopunk1661 2 года назад

    Lots of stuff - I carry much less but I do not camp out and I do not make videos while traveling, so my electronic is minimal. You can be really independent with that and go anywhere, though. If I got a flat tire I could just dial road assistance and wait ... and pray. Yet again, I stay on paved roads. Congratulations anyway as you show a low budget approach, contrary to the mainstream that everything needs to be super expensive and specialized.

    Actually not super big load. With proper luggage system it could be streamlined, but wow they have gotten very expensive.
    😆 that's why the boots look big on you. They are modular, cool.
    I'm not convinced about popular riding gear. There is other gear not motorcycle specific that does the job and cheaper.

      Hey there, thanks for watching!🤗 yes boots look like moon boots but I really love them now cause they are just so practical and never had cold feed at all, even wet, the goretex keeps warm. Yes there is so much alternative out there, my rain gear is tracking equipment for example and works awesome. Have a great Sunday! Cheers, Marc

    The idea is to spend your money to travel, not for equipment.
