    With my set up I have to use a tripod to keep the iso low and then can drill down the aperture for a greater depth of field.. Using also a 2 second timer aids. Any moving objects may blur but that would be for effect purposes. Just learning to be more selective. Framing etc.

    • @thegroove2000
      @thegroove2000 Год назад +1

      Of course if there is plenty of light may use handheld.

    • @thegroove2000
      @thegroove2000 Год назад +1

      I try and keep the low light images noise free as possible unless for effect.

    • @StevenSchulzPhoto
      @StevenSchulzPhoto  Год назад

      @@thegroove2000 I definitely understand your point. Using a tripod and doing a Long Exposure is definitely a good way to keep your photos noise free.👍🏻

    I have the Nikon D5200 with the kit lens 18-55 VR. What lens do you propose to buy for night photos?

    • @StevenSchulzPhoto
      @StevenSchulzPhoto  Год назад

      Do you shoot more on the 18mm end of that lens or the 55mm?

    • @PERIKLIS1
      @PERIKLIS1 Год назад

      @@StevenSchulzPhoto When the light is low I shoot at 18mm.
      Generally, I use the aperture mode and rarely the manual mode.

    • @StevenSchulzPhoto
      @StevenSchulzPhoto  Год назад

      @@PERIKLIS1 do you shoot handheld or on a tripod at night? If handheld I would say the 35mm f1.8 can work. That’s the widest prime lens I was able to find for that system. Also maybe worth looking at might be the Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 if you want a zoom. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @PERIKLIS1
      @PERIKLIS1 Год назад +1

      @@StevenSchulzPhoto I shoot handhelp and as you understand it is difficult with the night shoots.
      The 35mm f1.8 is also my first thought cause the D5200 is a crop camera (it will be like 50mm).
      Also, do you think that is it a good option for someone to buy a compact camera like Sony RX100 IV etc? (cause is easy to carrying)

    • @StevenSchulzPhoto
      @StevenSchulzPhoto  Год назад +1

      I personally like that Sony series but would only consider it as a secondary camera. Definitely very pocketable though.

    No doubt, your photos are amazing, but the video too. I am curious about your video too. Are you filming by yourself? ..or with an "assistant "?...I suppose you had used a tripod for your Canon EOS..I am really curious about your practice.
    Your youtube channel is really nice and you english is clear, very appreciated to the non English-speaking that I am.

    Really enjoyed your photos. Do you use the mechanical shutter or the electronic shutter? I'd think using the electronic shutter would have would help keep camera movement less of an issue. Although it doesn't play well with LED or fluorescent lights.

    • @StevenSchulzPhoto
      @StevenSchulzPhoto  Год назад +1

      Thank you for the kind feedback. I used the mechanical shutter. The only time I use the electronic shutter is when I am in crowds and tusks photos of people
