You look very much like your beautiful Mom! The 3 hours' wait must have been intense. You professional dancers are so brave about the pain you endure. Positive energy for a complete recovery.
🤫 This is the only emoji I could fine. You show tremendous patience with yourself. That is so essential. Just wanted to tell you that my son has a button that says " I may look like I'm not doing anything but at a molecular level, I'm very busy". Yes, let your body rest. Listen to it. And having your family around is beautiful.
As someone who had 4 very similar surgeries, two that were essentially identical, I can say every recovery is unique. The emotions, the phyaicality and the recovery. Having done it before is both a blessing and a curse. Anxiety and expectation are impacted not just by not knowing but knowing. It also is a process that takes months. My second surgery I was blindsided because I was back on my feet in fhe expected time only for a few weeks later for my body to rebel and need an extra week of bedrest. It's unpredictable so your approach and instincts are spot on. So in the moments you're down try to remember that and let that guide you. Healing wishes to you.
Hello Beautiful Hannah, I have watched your journey to live your dream to be a ballerina since you were in high school. Watching you grow, mature and live your dream has been a pleasure. Your maturity in taking care of your body and doing preventative care for long term shows here. I am really proud of you. You look so much like your mom. May you get well soon, fully recover and be blessed to dance. Love, light and blessings. Sandy in Far Northern California.
This surgery made such a difference in my life. im a former dancer when i was younger. i danced when i was 5- 15 years old. Broke my ankle couple years ago. didnt heal right. had so many issues with that ankle. had this surgery plus a tendon repair. made a huge difference
🤫I adore your family! They never cease to make me smile. I am going into another surgery in Dec after I had the incorrect surgery in Aug. This time is much, much more in-depth. Praying for your healing journey, and thank you for bringing us along!
Sending you lots of healing vibes from Colorado!! As a former dancer with ankle injuries I know how difficult this can be. Feel better soon 😊🩰😊 And if you ever need surgery again ask for an anti nausea medication to take home. I react badly to general anesthesia too and it’s a life saver. 😊😊
I hope you never need to have surgery again, but if you do, ask the anesthesiologist to put an IV anti-emetic in with your anesthesia. You will wake up with NO NAUSEA! Also, ask for an anti-emetic to take with your pain meds. People who have nausea with anesthesia can also have issues with nausea when taking opioid pain meds. It's a game changer because you get to focus on healing instead of throwing up and being nauseous.
Thank you for sharing your journey. I went to see Luna at Sadlers Wells and noticed you weren't in the show so this explains why! It was such a great meaning behind the project and I can imagine you were gutted to not be able to perform but wishing you a smooth and healthy recovery x
I did actually manage to perform at Sadlers Wells, they were my last shows before I went to get this all sorted. I did the first piece, the red dress piece, and the moon dancers at the end xx😅 so glad you enjoyed it!
Go Hannah!!!! You are amazing!!!!!! It takes a lot of courage to trust your body and to trust the process and you are doing so well! Sending you so much love & hugs xxxxxxxx
I'm recovering from emergency surgery again right now, and patience is in short supply! As it's the second time this has happened, I'm now on the list for the "fix it forever" surgery. Not only that, but I'm waiting to hear if I need to have the surgery you've just had. I'm doing my best to be patient and trust it's all going to work out in the end. Wishing you well on your recovery!
There may be a long road ahead of you, but you don’t need to walk it alone. I’ll be here every step of the way. In case nobody told you today, you’re amazing. 😘😘
I added you to our prayer list at church and went to the prayer room and prayed for your quick and full healing after church on Sunday. You will be back on stage in no time, God willing. Sending love from San Francisco! "For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord." - Jeremiah 30:17
Hi Hannah!! Sending you love and prayers as you recover from surgery. ❤️ I’m just a few weeks recovering from my 5th foot surgery (former figure skater; sadly the sport tore up my feet a lot at a young age!) You are not alone!! Definitely give yourself lots of grace during this period and it may suck at so many moments, but using this time to lean into the Lords strength makes tough seasons so sweet and fruitful. I am rooting for you!!!!🙏
I feel really rough after anesthesia too! Glad you are past this stage and that your family took such good care of you❤ You will definitely keep dreaming big and making it happen ❤
Thank you for this reminder to extend grace. I’m in week 2 now and struggling to be as kind to myself as I feel much better but am so frustrated I can’t do as much physically
@@HannahMartinRG it really takes time for your body to clear the anesthesia and other meds! Also, your body has experienced trauma to system and although the outcome will good, your body is on protective duty, so keep giving yourself grace. I know it feels like it will be forever, but if you continue to take good care of yourself, you’ll bounce back better and faster❤️
Wishing you speedy recovery Hannah! You're on my prayer list...Hang in there… And thank you so much for being a bright light and sharing your faith in Lord Jesus Christ so openly and freely on your channel. You have already accomplished so much of Mission Trust by just vlogging your experience. You are a testimony of the true Christian, not only living the faith, but walking it, dancing it, and SHARING it with others. What an inspiration you are to me Hannah and many others worldwide! Keep your light shining bright for all to see. With Lord Jesus Christ, and the wonderful family that He has given you for support... you got this!!!
HEAVILY feel what you mean about the sick stomach after aesthesia. I was the same way after my second surgery too, I wonder why the second one is so much worse. Maybe were just "older" than the first go round. I am glad you are feeling better so far! Its also so lovely that you have such a supportive family to help you!
I'm so sorry you're going through this again! I remember when you had the other ankle done. I'm glad you're resting. Will include you in my prayers. I like to sing "O Jesus Crowned With All Renown" when asking for healing. Lovely hymn. Hope you're somewhat better by the holidays 🎄
I feel for you! I have a needle phobia and I’ve had two, eight hours spinal fusion surgeries and all I was nervous about was the IV!! I woke up and had one in each hand!!!🤢 After I was discharged, I had stitches for 14 days!! Thank Goodness I could not see them!! They were left in for two weeks because they really want to make sure you are pretty healed up before the Doctor takes them out! And same here as you, they hurt coming out!!! You heal around most of them and it is Not Pleasant when they come out!! Sending You all Healing Prayers!! You Got This!! ♥️🪬🧿🙏🏻❤🩰♥️🙏🏻🧿🪬♥️
Hope you make it back for Cinderella! Your previous recovery videos were a great help to me when I ruptured a knee tendon earlier in the year and I hope you make a quick recovery - I love how you deal with it with your very matter of fact faith. God Bless
I’m so glad the last ones were helpful! Makes it feel worth documenting all of this 🙈 I hope you are well and enjoying good health now! Hope to join you soon 😅
Love watching and following your dance career, Hannah! But sensing a little drama here, everyone has surgery and excited to get it especially if it will result in pain reduction and getting back dancing. And it’s good to take some time off to let your body have a chance to rest from the arduous career you have chosen.
Did they give you any anti-nausea medications during or after surgery? Those medicines help so much. I do that each time before/after surgery. I've had foot surgery 3 times, and it's painful. I hope you are feeling better. Good luck in your recovery.
🤫 Just take it day by day. I had a compound fracture of my tibia with a hairline fracture on the fibula. Followed all the drs orders as well as the PT and was up and moving faster than I could believe. Follow the dr’s orders and I know you will be back before you know it and will move stronger into the future. Wishing you all God’s grace in this recovery period ❤️.
Hoping andpraying for you. youve really been thrown a curveball here. But if anyone can do this its you! And I dont mean that just becasei know you can do it that you have to do it perfectly all the time. Nobody isperfect, and you donthave to be. But youll pull through at the end.
