for those who complain abt this being a relay, do a bit of research and you'd realise SG's MRT stations are spaced quite a bit further than most major metro systems...
Some people don't think before they speak, not all distance between 2 stations are the same, the original race on youtube is solo 380m in 1min 20s (285m/min) , this one relays 850m in 2min 3s (414.6m/min). That's like 5min 47s for a typical 2.4km run wth.
great job to all the sprinters!!! its actually not easy to run from little india to farrer park in 2 minutes. and have to be careful of of not falling too. :)
You guys need to realise that the other tube races have a longer time yet shorter distance before critising them , try running at that speed for the entire distance ;) .
Lots of haters and armchair critics who couldn't have the strength or energy to roll off the couch here lol! Regardless of all the other factors for and against, it's still an accomplishment. Well done guys!
singapore mrt trains are fast unless breakdown happen..2mins per station is too hard to do "race the tube" u need to run almost 500m per min or even faster..
He had to enter the same door as the one he came out from. Otherwise the trolls on the internet will complain! actually i have gotten stuck by MRT door before. Nothing painful just some black dust. But honestly A+ for effort
Exactly those who made negative comments I think should give it a try and see if u guys can do just as good as them! I think this video is amazing! I'm amazed! Good job boys! 😊✌️
really great job to these guys !!!! they ran pretty fast and i dont see the need why people have to post negative comments about them . We use relay because we are different from other countries . the distance is much longer , moreover ours is underground . That pretty much explains the long staircase and escalators right .
You were pretty rude asking what's the point if its a relay. You could try sprinting at full speed from those 2 station and i will honestly tell you, even a seasoned runner would find it hard to run the full length at top speed. Looks at the people in the video, they are your average joe. They planned and executed it nicely, so which brings me back to my point. Whats the point of you watching it then? If you have nothing positive to comment about. Talk about being butthurt, jokes on you mate
Deathsnipez Sorry i gotta agree with Tony on this one, the whole point about Race the Tube is one person outrunning the train, not a team doing relay. I watched it thinking it was just like any other Race the Tube, but made in Singapore. Then I saw them doing the relay. If anything, the relay only made the feat less impressive. Nice try, could've been better.
Great job guys! hopefully you guys will do it again, its not an easy feat in my opinion. Keep going! I pity the fools who instead of getting their running shoes on and trying it out, chose to get their hands on their keyboard and make noise about how this is nothing impressive.
People complaining about the 4 person relay has obviously never taken trains in other countries before. The distances and train speed are obviously different.
Really awesome stuff!! I'm happy to see people try this in sg :) and haters will always be haters.. Don't mind them..they are just pessimistic idiots who hate life itself and have nothing else better to do than bring others around them down.. So what if it was a relay? So what if the distance was short? So what if the train reached the station first? It doesn't change the fact that four Singaporean kids decided on their own to take on a viral challenge and show the world that we have our own cool kids who are not stereotypically reserved and scared to try interesting stuff that others in the world think we'd ' never ' do. Kudos to them for having the courage to try! And succeed as well!! Good one guys!!
Good job guys !! When the entire world decided to do this #racethetube challenge, you guys bravely took up that challenge and decided to show the world that we do can do it!! Its obviously understandable that one guy cannot race the tube by himself as the distance is pretty far for one runner. And for one fucking second, think twice before giving negative comments for if other countries are watching this you are severely bringing down the image of our country by talking shit. No wonder we are touted as lifeless and emotionless people. Appreciate what this guys have done ffs. If you have any suggestions or improvements, then post a video of yourself doing it and then its understandable if you talk then..
Hmmm... though there are traffic lights and at CBD... can try Chinatown to Telok Ayer station next time (since Chinatown is the end station atm for DT line).
when I was at younger age in 1990, me and my friends(all are badminton players), we did try exit and run from the first carriage to the last carriage and enter it when the MRT stopped at one of the MRT station(was late night thus not much passengers), that was fun.
pretty cool! i feel your adrenaline :D i think this version is more realistic than the "race the tube" video completed by one man. he went up and down escalators and went past so many buildings! he must be faster than the train (which does not need to go up and down and just travels in one direct route) in order to reach the next station on time! which is rather freaky if he really managed to do it by himself. i was really impressed by that guy but i really think you guys are more realistic. well done!
Come on people why so many hate comments??. Damn i think its cool.. beat the tube.. i wonder how many takes they did that to be exactly in there.. if its only a single take then WOW good job guys! :)
not saying this is fake, but it is actually possible to fake this. All you have to do is to film the first and last runner. And pre- film the rest. What I mean by that is the first person runs out the MRT. Then goes to the 2nd runner' spot. While the last runner starts running. And the middle parts are pre-filmed
Are we all forgetting that you can WALK from Little India Dtl to Mattar Dtl and still be trains ahead of the one u got off of? They are literally on the same road
I want to do this in my country (Thailand) but I just realized how bad I am at running and how ridiculously deep underground stations are. The above station also wouldn’t work because there’s no above ground station that is close to each other
I've been doing some amature filming and editing and i can tell you, it can either be real speed running or some camera tricks here. (1) Do all the train scene first. guys runs out, and someone calls and tell the last 2 fella to start running down from outside the next train station. It can be at 1:07 or even 1:28 and get back into the train. Everyone can comes out and take their own sweet time to shoot the outside running scene. And also they would need 8 video cam to shoot all this if didn't do any cam tricks! Not a hater thou. Just sharing out my idea if anyone else is planning to shoot this kinda video as well! Cheers!
that doesnt make sense. Aunties dont give up seats
***** yup your right aunties dont give up seats
Maybe she is the exceptional auntie
Haha lol
JianHao Tan
Yah there was a part an Uncle that older than the aunty came in and she did not gave him the seat.
Facepalm..
omg I am your best fan
I don't understand the negative comments... I think this is pretty cool! Made me smile for sure. Great effort by the boys!!
Yeah i agree with you and its a fun thing to do
for those who complain abt this being a relay, do a bit of research and you'd realise SG's MRT stations are spaced quite a bit further than most major metro systems...
Yan C mainland China as well
I like how they still bothered to tap their ezlinks
Then what? Jump over?
If he jump over can’t even leave the mrt station
Then the gahment race w u
they can get stopped by the staff so they need to tap in singapore
bro wants them to get arrested for 2 dollars lol
That's 850m in 2:03. Plus the terrain.
800m world record is 1:41. 850m = 1:47.
Give the guys some credit.
Dat Boi don’t compare the 6 seconds to someone else. Just think about the uneven ground and the terrain and 6 seconds are nothing
there were like 5 different guys it would take longer if there was just one person
200x4 relay WR is 1:18.63
850m is 1:23.55
So keep in mind that relay gives a difference
@potatotiel they're 40 seconds behind though... 67.5% speed
This is a relay so that people aren't as tired and can run faster
Some people don't think before they speak, not all distance between 2 stations are the same, the original race on youtube is solo 380m in 1min 20s (285m/min) , this one relays 850m in 2min 3s (414.6m/min). That's like 5min 47s for a typical 2.4km run wth.
I’m from sinagpore and the mrt’s aka trains r kinda slow
great job to all the sprinters!!! its actually not easy to run from little india to farrer park in 2 minutes. and have to be careful of of not falling too. :)
If there are more people like u guys, singapore wouldnt be so boring! , keep it up guys !
Come on people. At least they tried something that most of us don even think of doin it.
red line no need run, just walk
***** from jurong to cck damn slow tho
ohhh
I like how your username is a Leyland rego
No la bpl
Blazer433 But the terrain is hard
You guys need to realise that the other tube races have a longer time yet shorter distance before critising them , try running at that speed for the entire distance ;) .
Nice!!
Now try Khatib and Yio Chu Kang xD
***** HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. FEELS LIKE FOREVER TO GET FROM ONE STOP TO THE OTHER.
Oh lord
Rip
Nono Caldecott to Botanic Gardens
@@jirehchoo2151 How about Expo to Changi Airport?? 😅
Good luck trying to do this at these stations at rush hour or any given Sunday. ;)
Lots of haters and armchair critics who couldn't have the strength or energy to roll off the couch here lol! Regardless of all the other factors for and against, it's still an accomplishment. Well done guys!
Really appreciate people who do this stuff! Rather than suggesting Where to run, try running yourself like them! Then you will know their effort!
Try from Yew tee to Kranji :) Or maybe from Choa Chu Kang to Bukit Gombak . Thats a reasonable one
lol cck to bukit gombak is super far by foot
smooth122 cant even go under the mrt track, theres tunnel LOL
sTarRyNiiTeX -_- . lol . you can go by lot 1 to ite college west , past by the fire station and reach gombak . I have walked there before .
Abdul Rashid oh ya hahaha that super long way
that's like from Choa Chu Kang to Jurong East though. distance...
Me and my athletic friends: Don't worry, mothers. We'll stay safe.
Me and my athletic friends:
Try khatib to yio chu kang next
lol
ROFL ...:D
I think that one don't nid relay. Walk also can.
***** so far
so far
I'd be more impressed if it wasn't a relay, like how the other Race The Tubes are.
singapore mrt trains are fast unless breakdown happen..2mins per station is too hard to do "race the tube" u need to run almost 500m per min or even faster..
BC xl but the fact that they did it in a relay and managed to get it done in a team, means it's possible to do it alone.
r080d
dude its physically impossible to sprint all the way. Unless you are usian bolt
He had to enter the same door as the one he came out from. Otherwise the trolls on the internet will complain!
actually i have gotten stuck by MRT door before. Nothing painful just some black dust. But honestly A+ for effort

Kids having healthy fun. Nothing wrong with this!! Good video!
Wow, Power la you 4! Don't mind if you challenge the Downtown Line? From Promenade to Bayfront.
really great job to these guys !!!! they ran pretty fast and i dont see the need why people have to post negative comments about them . We use relay because we are different from other countries . the distance is much longer , moreover ours is underground . That pretty much explains the long staircase and escalators right .
what's the point if it's a relay
Whats the point of you watching then? Go film yourself doing it solo
that didn't ans my qn, and you sound butthurt, are you one of the guys who ran?
You were pretty rude asking what's the point if its a relay. Really awesome stuff!! I'm happy to see people try this in sg :)

2. Expo to Changi Airport
3. Khatib to Yio Chu Kang
4. Beauty World to Hillview
Give the Downtown MRT Line a try. ;)
Awesome and perfect team effort! Pretty sure none of the jokers who suggested further distances could even get close to ur timings!
Awesome guys! I found myself cheering as I watched the video XD
a bit crazy, but must give them a thumb up. great job and great idea.
Hmmm... though there are traffic lights and at CBD... can try Chinatown to Telok Ayer station next time (since Chinatown is the end station atm for DT line).
Nice.... technically... you guys beat the train! Arrived at the station first.

the 1990s sounds great.
Please stop commenting negatively lah. Atleast they boys did something which we didn't. Great job guys!!

What's the background song used? Sounds really good!
Pretty cool man. Ignore those negative craps
It really made me happy when the guy made it!!!! So proud so proud !!!!1!1!1!1!1

Haha luckily those mrt security officers didnt get suspicious seeing people dashing off from the station.Interesting and awesome video tho!👍
OMGAWD. I always wanted to do this since young ! How can I join you guys ?
Quite shock to see a number of negative comments. Guess this is the reality. Unsatisfied, unhappy, unsupportive people we are.
Good job guys!
My birthday is October 14th also thats a hell of a run goodjob :)
made me so proud of Singapore! good jobbbb
I bet you can't try Khatib to Yio Chu Kang. It's just '1 stop away'.
Siala where do ii apply for this!
Nice vid! Props to the aunty who gave up her seat for the older aunty!
not saying this is fake, but it is actually possible to fake this. All you have to do is to film the first and last runner. And pre- film the rest.

Of course. However in this case, this video is legit. The woman standing by the door is still there.
Try Clarke Quay to Chinatown. Or Chinatown to Outram. They're all along the same road.
Great effort.
Go Singapore! And to the haters of this video, this is a relay, at the ending it said cityrelay. So it is a relay, so don't judge Singapore!
Are we all forgetting that you can WALK from Little India Dtl to Mattar Dtl and still be trains ahead of the one u got off of? They are literally on the same road
