This video was SO helpful. Looking forward to using these for unterviews, thank you!
we are happy that you like it 😀
Very complete video. Thank you!
Really interesting product! I use my Lark M1 a lot and this new design is even better. But I agree with the other comments, this video should be re-uploaded fixing the audio, it's not a very reassuring presentation of a microphone with all the peaking! 😁
Recently I bought this mic Hollyland M2 & using with Google pixel 8 Pro and believe me both nailed it ❤
Great product thx for video!
❤❤
Love the M1 - wish you guys would add receivers so I can interview multiple people at the same time!
thank you for your support! 😄😄
you rock lawrence!
Beautiful i love Hollyland mic and receiver - I too lives in Shenzhen.
So cool! Thank you for your support!😃
The dialogue audio in this video seems to be peaking from time time, or these is some other distortion present at certain peaks.
Yes I felt that, interesting to see if any gain was set.
exactly what i thought. It's a shame they do that to their own videos
yup. if you’re selling mics and demoing them, they should definitely do better in their own productions
Right click the video> stats for nerds
Volume/ Normalized is at +2.5db.
RUclips standard audio loudness is -14LUFS. Hollyland produced this video at -11.5LUFS and RUclips is pulling it back down by 2.5db to -14LUFS, that's why it sounds bad.
Kind of sad that a video on an wireless lav mic would have bad audio but here we are.
Yes, peaking.. they should redo this video.
With the iPhone receiver, can you record audio from both mics/transmitters simultaneously?
Hey Lawrence, will we see a 32-bit wireless microphone/recorder system this year?
It doesn't need to have time code, just a solid unit with practical features.
The form factor of the transmitters is really a game-changer for content creators, especially those who like to clip those big black matchbox-like transmitters from other makers. This design by Hollyland is just so sleek! Just placed on order for the combo set, let's see how it works out for my use case
Thank you for your support😀
OK, this Lark 2 is really awesome - I've also bought recently. But what's the APP good for? How does ist work (?) - as far as I see, it can not operate separately (only in connexion/in addition with another APP for sound recordings). So what's your APP then good for?
🥳Great video. Thanks. Do you know if the USB-C version will work when plugged into a MacBook / Mac Studio USB-C? Or does it have to be a mobile? Thanks
Yes it will work
@@djxcel23 Thank you. But how do you control the noise reduction / volume etc on the usb-c version connected to the Mac if there’s no Lark app running on the Mac?
@@g13jon You can't do this unfortunately, you will have to connect it briefly to your mobile device to set the noise reduction and gain level, then reconnect it to your mac.
Great product but in this video I clearly hear some distortion/clipping throughout the video in the speech (e.g. @2:45 when you say TRS to TRS and e.g. @5:38)... was the volume/gain accidentally set too high? Or is this to be expected..?
Very interested in this. However before I buy, my equipment is old. Canon 5d MK2. Iphone 11. Desktop OSX El Capitan. Will it still work with any off them? Thanks.
Awesome. I had a question about the mic being omnidirectional, any chance you can advise on the minimum range/distance between the speaker and the mic that maintains decent audio e.g can one mic be used to record an interview/conversation between 2 people sitting away from each other or doesn't it need to be very close to the speaker? Many thanks.
We do not recommend that the microphone be too far away from the user, it is best to wear it on the body
Looking to buy, but would like to know this first. Is there a way to listen to/monitor the audio while recording to a camera or to the phone? Especially when using it with a camera, I can't imagine it's easy to tell how low or high the levels are with just those 3 leds on the receiver.
Nice! what's the latency on the transmission?
Question- is the USB-C only version not able to connect to PC? If so, that seem like a missed opportunity as most PCs have USB-C ports nowadays.
And 1 minor critique, for the camera version receiver, even though there is a knob for adjusting the gains, there are only 3 settings (low, mid, high) instead of a slider, which make the knob quite pointless, and it takes so much space. Especially since, if it only have 3 settings it might as well have been 1 button to cycle through.
Even though the transmiter/ mic is already so small, the camera/combo version case could've been even smaller, if it just removed the knob, making the receiver take half the thickness it takes now inside the case.
Alternatively, It should be an actually slider for adjusting the gain
This video really helped! But can you see the audiolevels on your camera, if you plug the receiver in?
When inserting the receiver into the camera, we recommend setting the camera gain to the minimum
I have this and it’s amazing, I need more mics, so can I buy 2 more mics and a charging case and be able to pair all 4 mics to the same receiver? Usb c on iPhone 15. Thanks!!
I'm curious about this, too!
Is there a way to record the audio track from each mic separately when recording on a macbook?
awesome, just ordered it. may I ask what the diameter of the TX stickers is please? I want to print some with my own logo on it :)
I don't have the data on the sticker at present, but according to the manual, the dimension of TX is: 6mm x 9.9mm, I hope this can help you😀
Hello😊 we are testing some Radio Links and have a queation! Is it possible to switch from stereo to mono on the Receiver from the mobile phone(iphone) or only do this the receiver for the camera?
Thank you
Hi, phone recording only supports Mono mode, and camera recording supports both Mono and Stereo mode
Can I plug a TRS to XLR cable to also record on my Zoom recorder?
I got mine in today. I have two concerns with it. One is that as a big guy I am a heavy breather and it picks that up too well and the other one is when I do theme park content is it going to hold well? What do you think, but I’m enjoying it and I love the sound quality be on those two concerns
LARK M2 has a noise cancellation feature, you can open it if you are afraid that your breathing is too heavy, as for the holding method, the LARK M2 has a great magnetic attraction force, no need to worry about falling, you can also click it to your collar. Hope this can help you, feel free to leave your question😄
o kit combo, com receptores de camera e celular, eu consigo receber sinal simultaneo nos dois, um pra gravar na camera e outro no celular?
Hey guys. Been reading the M2’s manual but can’t find any info on splitting the audio recording?
When you record from two Tx are you able to have the audio split or will both audio tracks from the two Tx be merged into a single track?
Also is the answer to the above the same regardless of which Receiver you use (Lightening, USB-C or camera Receiver)?
Thanks
When recording on your phone, the microphone only supports mono recording. If using a camera, it supports both dual channel and mono channels
Very nice. Small enough to ditch all that extra wires in the helmet. Just use this and connect to gopro.
How do I use the Speaker Play functionality? Can you give me an example or point me some documentation?
Is it possible to change the audio/volume level of individual mic in the RX?
Hi
I have a GoPro Hero 10.
Is the Lark M2 a simple plug and play with the Gopro, as I don't want to have to do much post audio work?
Thank you
Dose GoPro Hero 10 have a 3.5mm audio port? That would need a cable to connect
@hollylandtech the mic would have to be connected via the mic port on the GoPro media mod
Is there a way to separate the audio into left and right channels when using 2 transmitters with the USB iPhone receiver? If no, why not?
Hello, currently only the camera version supports stereo recording. Due to compatibility issues with some mobile phone manufacturers, when using a microphone connected to a mobile phone, only mono recording is supported.
I have the 360 camera how can I connected with it , do I need another Accesoires ?
Muito bem elaborado
Can i connect the camera output of the hollyland lark m2 receiver to external speaker and listin the voice in real time ?
Will the USB-c port on the camera set also connect to an usb phone or Mac?
Yes
great product, unless you have the camera version and want to monitor your video. There is no port for headphones. Missed that one Hollyland!!
Hello. Thank you for the wonderful video.
I would be happy if you could answer my questions.
I have an iPhone 15plus (USB-C) and my husband has an iPhone 13 Pro Max (Lightning).
What happens if I attach the Mobile Version RX: Receiver (Lightning/USB-C) of the LARK M2 combo set to each iPhone and shoot? Please let me know if you shoot with two iPhones at the same time or one at a time.
The transmitter will connect with the Receiver which opens first. If you want to use TX separately (each phone connecting to a separate TX), you need to manually pair each RX with a TX.
@@hollylandtechif done this way with 2 phones and 2 RX+TX, then each mic will have it’s own separate track, correct?
@@yurybury1 Yes
Hello, can the usb c receiver turn the stereo mode on (separate the left and right sound track) or it just will mix it to one mono sound track? Thanks a lot!!!
When using mobile device to record, LARK M2 only support mono mode
Thank you, with the USB C receiver, if I use it with a laptop, would I be able to control the volume/gain?, if not, then what would be the default volume/gain. If I use the app with the USB receiver attached to my Android phone, to set the volume to max, would it save the setting if I moved it to the laptop? Many thanks.
When connecting to a computer, you can use an app to set the parameters first, and then connect to the computer to use it
can we connect lark m2 to macbook directly using usb c type n give voiceover to your videos while editing?
Hi Hollyland,
Can Lark M2 support iPhone 15 ?
If user want to use Lark M2 for Microsoft Teams , Zoom and WhatsApp video call. Is there any compability issue ?
Please launch in our country too.... I am from Nepal. Please bring your product here. You have the best mic.❤
Thank you for your support! I believe one day we will be in Nepal😄

Dose work Rx Samsung to put in Osmo Pocket 3 DJI?
Great tutorial! How many sets can be used at the same time without having interference between them? I am interested in using 4 sets for recording 8 people at the same time.
I already bought 1 set for me and I really like it.
We recommend using no more than three sets in the same scene unless the distance between them is significant. Otherwise, there is a risk of interference.
@@hollylandtech thank you! My plan is to connect them to the same Zoom P4 unit in different channels through an adapter for each receiver. I will buy 3 sets and try them to see if it works, if not then I’ll just return them or use them for other purposes.
@@Quantum_Guy Hey @Quantum_Guy where do you buy them? Im having a hard time find. The purchase button on their website just takes me to the top of the page and then I can't find the purchase button again.
If i buy the combo pack, is it possible to film from camera + iPhone + android simultaneously?
Yes, it can, the 3 RX can work independently, but every RX needs to pair to 1 TX. Considering that our Combo version only has two TX, you will need to purchase an additional TX
I’ve seen on karaoke forums that the transmitter can be plugged into a microphone jack on a mixer with a 1/8 to 1/4 adapter. How is this done?
Hi Hollyland,
I would plan to purchas 3 set of Lark M2 Combo.
Can you please confirm that
If user want to use Lark M2 for Microsoft Teams , Zoom meeting and WhatsApp video call by using iPhobe 15 pro.
Is there any compability issue with MS Teams and Zoom and iphone 15?
Whats the best way to hook up a headset/headphones to receiver so I can listen to the audio while I'm recording to adjust the input
Headphones won't work because they can amplify the sound. We recommend recording an audio and then playing it back to listen and see.
is it possible to use type C with GoPro?
What is the delay in ms?
I use this mic for my iPhone. but the sound keeps clipping. Is this wireless mic not equipped with an auto limiter / auto leveling which prevents it from clipping when suddenly someone makes a loud sound?
This situation can be improved by using App LarkSound to lower the microphone gain.
@@hollylandtech how to make it automatic, dynamic and intelligent? You know every person I meet can sometimes speak loudly, sometimes softly, at the same time. it is not possible to adjust the gain continuously while interviewing people
@@BudionoSukses Gak bisa Bro... You need 32bit recording to do that. So you will have more dynamic range of volume. You can edit the part where it is too soft or to loud in post, without losing anything. But that feature is in different product price range from different brands...
Dear! Is it works with iPhone 15 Pro?
Will this work with amplifier ? Or mixer
Urgent, Can we control Mic Gain via the APP?? NOT THE OUTPUT OF THE RECEIVER Gain of the each mic??
This mic is almost perfect. I just wish there was a way to turn off the LED on the transmitter. The LED on the receiver is enough for me to know what's going on. I just find the bright light on the transmitter draws attention.
hi, thank you for your feedback, it's valuable for us, and I will transfer this to our R&D Department.

Does the Hollyland Lark M2 work with the DJI Osmo Action 3 ?
works with action 2
This might be a dumb question but how do I start recording with it? I used to have the Lark Max and it had a press to record button. Does the M2 start recording automatically when I press record on my camera?
when you connect it with your camera, yes it will automatically start recording
Greetings! What is the best way I can get in touch regarding getting a unit to review for my channel for content creators? Thank you.
is this work with samsung phone's inbuilt camera app? what will be the recording mode? stereo or mono?
We got some feedback from our users that some of Sumsung Model doesn't support external microphone. And only when you connect the mic to the camera, it support mono and stero mode. Mono mode is the only mode supoorted when connected to the phone
Should I have to buy an external storage for it? Which one you recommend?
We offer a complimentary drawstring bag. As for whether you need to purchase an additional storage box, you can consider your needs 😃😃
😂😢
I bought the Lark M2 recently but I'm finding that it sounds incredibly muddy. I've tried noise cancelling off-and-on, moved the microphone close to my mouth, moved it around my shirt, but I find the quality isn't nearly as good as I'd hoped. Is there any way to improve the audio somehow? I've got it connected to my iPhone 14 Pro Max. The actual setup was very simple, but I'm disappointed with the sound quality. I hope I'm missing something obvious and can improve it.
Hi, sorry for replying so late, can you send a message on Facebook to us? So that we can provide better help for you😃
Will it work with Insta360 ace pro?
Just bought the M2. The product dosen't support ace pro with or without 360 adaptor

how do you audio monitor sound
How can I live stream on facebook or google meet with the lightning port plugged into my phone ? Please help me.
I already have the Hollyland Lightning to 3.5mm Adapter. Would that work with the camera version's RX?
Yes😀
Does that mean the audio channels would be split as well? @@hollylandtech
Can you pair more then 2 lark mics to a single device for more people?
no, only support 1RX and 2TX
does it produce any echo?
I already have Rode, I dont need this one.. but really nice size.. if I didn’t have my mic already this would be a buy for me.
edit: Checked other YT video. Really interesting little mic. I really do not need a new one.. but.. nicely done!
However the sound on this video needs to be fixed, it peaks badly.
I ordered boss. You guys made a good mic

Interesting! Is the double click recording function on android only working with the android-adapter in the combo-pack or also when connected with the cable in the camera-pack?
Currently the double-click function only can be used in mobile device❤
My camera receiver is the other way around, green is stereo and blue is mono. Any ways to solve this issue?
Hi, have you tried upgrade the microphone? plz try upgrade it: www.hollyland.com/download/lark-m2
if it doesn't work, plz DM us on Facebook
For the camera RX. It is said that Blue light = stereo mode and green light = mono mode. However on my Lark M2 it is the oposite. Blue = mono and green = stereo. Anyone else experiencing the same?
Can app still be used when receiver is on digital camera?? for example to make changes or monitor audio?
No, only when you plug the mobile/lightning version RX to the device then the app can be used😀
@@hollylandtech Another big miss
If I buy two M2 i can use it as 4 TX with 1RX ? i mean mix in real time 4 voice source as BOYA BY-W4 with 4 TX?
no, LARK M2 currently on support 2 TX
Can the receiver be connected directly to a Audio Mixer and work as a Wireless Mic for speaking on a stage?
If there is a Type-C digital audio output port on the Mixer, then it is ok
@@hollylandtech Can the LARK M2 RECEIVER Output be connected to the INPUT on an Analog Audio Mixer as a MIC INPUT ?

Is mobile version only compatible with iPhone 12 and it’s successors and not with iPhone 11 and predecessors?
Lighting should work with any phone
We have tested that the lightning version is compatible with IPhone X、11-14😃
👍
Hi,
I have iPhone 15 Pro Max and I've bought the combo package of this LARK M2. I notice that the receiver is the lightning system (for older iPhone) and on the package says that "iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 14 Pro, etc.... (older iPhone).
Does anybody know where to buy the receiver for iOS with USB-C (the new iPhone), or is the one for Android (USB-C) can also be used for iPhone 15 Pro Max? Thanks in advance for your answer. 👍
to connect iPhone 15 Pro Max, you would need a 3.5mm to USB-C cable😀
@@hollylandtech Thanks for the answer. It's not necessary to buy "extra USB-C cable" for this, because I've read that the USB-C for Android can also be used in iPhone 15, BUT use without the App LarkSound - this is "the Lark M2 information" I got on your homepage.
I hope you can "upgrade the App LarkSound for iOS" in the near future so it can also handle / detect the new Lark M2 system. 👍

The USB C receiver doesn't seem to work with Android phones (Pixel) unless you pass thru energy via usbc on the side. Any word on how to fix this issue?
There are many formats for the Type-C port, and it would be better to purchase a microphone that supports 3.5mm like Lark M1 if Type-C to Type-C doesn't work
@@hollylandtech I think the issue was due that the Android USBC setting was not set up to charge the receiver. After playing around with the default settings, I was able to put it on MIDI and select it to charge the receiver when connected. Thank you for the answer, its a pretty solid microphone.
