Chris, I just found your page and I'm brand new to trading options so I hope this is not a dumb question. If I buy the $175 put at $1.89 and sell at 174, how do I calculate my profit? What is the formula for this $1 price move?

Another great video, thanks! I think the market is over-heated. And I am concerned that people are focusing less on fundamentals and just chanting the mantra of dollar cost averaging and driving the market higher without considering fundamentals. It is a catch-22 for me. I mean I like stock prices going higher but I also hate buying over-priced stocks and ETFs. Personally, I have stopped buying growth ETFs- they are ridiculously over-valued. Dividend stocks and ETFs are a little better but they are still over-valued. There is some hope with small and mid caps. I am not sure they are undervalued but at least they are less over-valued..This pattern offers a valuable insight for strategic planning. Despite these trends, i have delve deeply into active trading and managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 432k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Kerrie Farrell, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape...

He is saying to buy a Tesla put option at the open and be ready to take profit when it hits $174. For example, buy the in-the-money $175 put expiring May 10th. When the stock price hits $174, take profit.
The break even for the 175 put option is 173.13 before you start making profit so how is getting out at 174 going to make a profit?
@@Travel-Tangoa contract doesn’t have to go all the way to the break even price to be profitable . Thats kinda confusing idk why they name it that if it doesn’t actually mean break even but Yeaa

@Travel-Tango the time left till the option's expiration has actual value up until the option literally expires worthless. The breakeven price is what the stock needs to be when the time left is 0 and the option has expired. Basically, with any active option, time has value

I don't know if your losses are from options trading or not. If so , why not just do some swing trading for now. If you would buy 100, or more shares of a low- cost stock, and it goes up a few dollars, you could take some decent profit.

Made $106 Tesla opened up around 171 found support at 170 then I bought calls. 1.77-2.55 👍🏼. They took the put play away pretty much overnight.

Thank you Chris made my first $100 in the market thanks to this play but in the morning it opened at 171 so it went pass our 174 down side so I put in a call a rode it up to 174 an got out within the hour
If you're watching this in the morning it's at 175. Wait a few minutes to see what happens instead of jumping in. The extended trading sometimes ruins your moves
