Yay, I’m happy to hear that! 😄 I love telling people about hackberries - I feel like they’re lesser-known, but also super tasty and generally well-liked
Yes, I regularly hold workshops in the Twin Cities area. 😀 You can view them at fourseasonforaging.com/events. (There’s nothing on there right now cus I just held my last events of the season, but I may schedule some winter ones later!)
What a great video! This makes me want to get out there and look for something. I ordered two commercial Aronia plants and grew them for years, now they are producing. They look different than what I thought they would. I have read it is a cross between Aronia and Rowan so that is why, I have the 'Viking cultivar. I need to look for a wild variety and compare. I am excited to get rosehips this year. I have never done it before, but already found large bushes in the wild, I have been watching and the hips look ready! They are small because they are multiflora, but I think making a tea like you suggest and then using that to make other things is the way I will go.
Thanks for the kind words! 😊 Yeah, all the cultivars of aronia can definitely get confusing. I just go by taste when deciding what to harvest. I hope you like the rose hips!
I found my first hackberries this weekend thanks to this video! So cool.

Very nice video. Thank you.
You're welcome! :)
Have you ever given workshops? Taken folks out into the great outdoors and taught them in person?

Aronia berries are wonderful- I need to see if I can find them growing wild in Virginia.
They should be out there! Try looking in wet lowland areas. Good luck!
