Joint session of the National Assembly, may not know the National Anthem; Nigeria We Hail Thee! 😂

Nigeria 🇳🇬 President Bola Tinubu has officially signed into law the National Anthem Bill passed by the National Assembly on Tuesday.
The bill seeks to revert to Nigeria’s old National Anthem at independence in 1960 “Nigeria we hail thee “ .
He signed the bill for the old National Anthem to become the official National Anthem today Wednesday, 29 May 2024, at a joint session of the National Assembly marking the Silver Jubilee Of Nigeria’s 4th Republic.
President Bola Tinubu is currently at the joint session.
The old anthem, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee”, which replaced the “Arise, O Compatriots” anthem was composed when Nigeria gained independence on October 1, 1960, Lillian Jean Williams, a British expatriate who lived in Nigeria during its independence, penned the lyrics for “Nigeria, We Hail Thee,” while Frances Berda composed the music. The anthem played a significant role in shaping Nigeria’s national identity and unity during the 1960s and late 1970s.
The lyrics of the official national anthem of Nigeria:
“Nigeria we hail thee
Our own dear native land
Though tribes and tongue may differ
In brotherhood we stand
Nigerians all, are proud to serve
Our sovereign Motherland.
“Our flag shall be a symbol
That truth and justice reign
In peace or battle honour'd,
And this we count as gain,
To hand on to our children
A banner without stain.
“O God of all creation
Grant this our one request.
Help us to build a nation
Where no man is oppressed
And so with peace and plenty
Nigeria may be blessed.”

These Tinubu government's from the word go fraudulent. The NO had for the new national anthem and in front of Nigeria citizens Akpabio declared the YES as the winner. What a country.

That's not what happened. The old national anthem had already been accepted/adopted by both Chambers. However, some members wanted the band to lead them in singing it, while others said they all should use their voices. So, Akpabio, being the one with the gavel, went ahead to support the usage of the band instead of using their voices. That's the argument here.
Meanwhile, I'm not either against or in support of the new anthem. I just want the country to be in better shape for common Nigerians.
