soundtrack is so spot on for this story that it hits right in the feels...
I think it’s actually better in the original Neapolitan dialect with subtitles. I don’t think it would be as authentic in English. The way it’s shot and the feel, makes you hardly notice the subtitles in a mad sort of way !! Greatest ever Gomorrah !

I always wondered why Prince's demeanor is so calm when he realizes Angelo betrayed him. When He tells Angelo not to worry, was it from his natural level-headedness and acceptance of death, knowing it is the price of his lifestyle. Or simply misguided faith that once he mentioned his deal with Genarro he would be left alone. Great scene, quality character!
Edit: he definitely didn’t think he would die after revealing his dealings with Genny. Don Salvastano a savage
difficult to say, he seemed to be the most levelheaded and smartest of the alliance besides maybe Ciro. Those type of guys tend to have very cool demeanors
I think it's implied he didn't expect to die. The reaction on his face says it all when he realises what's about to happen.
To be honest, he wasn't right after the girl left, he no longer cared.

honestly, he didn't go out like a man, in his mind he "knew" that the don wouldnt kill him once he told him he was workign with genny..little did he know his father and genny were competing..by the time he realized it was over it was to late...prince wasnt built like ciro, if the don had given him enough time prince would have been begging for his life
No he didnt go out like a man. He admitted to being a snake(plotting behind the alliance) and tried using his deal with Genny as leverage to get out of this situation. Also, he underestimated Don Pietro. So really he died as a goofball.

this was the end of Don Pietro. After this Genny saw that he was too destructive and impossible to work with. This was the tipping point where Genny decided he must betray his father abd become his own man

I only just saw this episode (amazing show) and Prince is the only character that isn't a complete psychopath. Or more accurately, he's the only character that comes across as good/just in this universe.
Obviously this is what the writers are getting at with the panther, Prince was a beautiful, pure creature imprisoned in his environment also.
The reason I like the show so much is how morally void it is (in interest of realism), but I have to admit I was very disappointed Prince was just a one episode character. It was such a relief to have a character you actually like.

Don Pietro was sort of like a machine. He took back the streets with just a few concise moves while living underground.

It figures that it would require someone as close as his son, to be able to take him down, otherwise he'd still be ruling now into Season 4 and beyond.
his name alone is the only reason he was able to do so, his reputation and the respect his men had for him is why he was such a force..none of the other bosses were ever respected as much as the don
Ryu's Crib Yup, that's why Genny will never be anything like his father, he has no word, he can't be trusted, he wipes his ass with oaths and respect.
The only man in North Naples who could stand up to Don Pietro was Salvatore Conte, imagine how dangerous and powerful the Savastano clan must have been when Conte was one of Don Pietro's men.

Prince was the most level headed guy he was a great character and I wished they would of given his character more then a few episodes for his arch I fucking love this show !!!!

he definitely was one of the smartest men on the show but also one of the weakest. him stuntin hard with his money is what got him killed, better to be low key than lavish..The nail that sticks out always gets hammered.

PRINCE was a character with a lot of charisma and his attitude contrasted a lot with that of the other gangsters. It is incomprehensible that they dispense with a character that has so much potential to develop. So Sad!! ("It's okay, don't worry")
He was cool but it takes more than style and a cool demeanor to survive in the world of Gomorra, you have to be sharp mentally like Ciro. Genny didn't have it either until he came back from Honduras.

If he also killed the guy betraying Prince then don Pietro would probably have never been killed.
This is one of few scenes that were probably done for the sake of development of the script. In real world it would made perfect sense to kill this guy and most probably mafia would kill him. Here they left the witness...Because after this what happened is that Ciro caught this guy and found out everything. It was too easy...

I hate how they bring in some very interesting characters and then kill them off as we start growing fond of them. If you think about it, Prince probably knew about this and that's why he gave him his car. Because he knew he was just a kid in the whole thing, he gave him the car like the toys for the kids that he was giving away. He knew sooner or later it was bound to happen and that's why he gave his charm to the little boy before. His wife was freaking hot.
It's realistic, it shows you that you do not walk around with nonsense. if they maintained more these characters the series would lengthen a lot
it's just a reminding that in gomorra there is no good guys, only bad guys and that if you take the bad path you'll get smoke no matter what

Gomorrah killed off a lot of great characters the first couple seasons. Kind of wish they kept them around awhile longer. They were so compelling and interesting.

this is one of the most tense scenes ever. the guy knows he's about to die and looks death straight in the eye. like he knew what he was gettin himself into when he chose that life. and his driver begs him for forgiveness while he betrayed him. just so deep...
Wrong. Prince up until this point believed himself to be untouchable due to his relationship with genny and the fact that he knew how to cut coke the best out of anyone in the alliance, he felt like he was the most valuable gangster and that was his protection..thats why he had that smug look until Don pietro pulled out the gun..
the first 3 seasons of gomorrah, were epic, then it slowly went downhill. Also they never let character development, like prince and genny dad, both of them died way to soon.
The most stupid death this was the end of Don Pietro final nail that made Genny turn against him

Brilliant show I’ve just watched season three and I couldn’t really understand the dynamic between ciro and genny someone explain it and I’ll comeback to win my input thanks.
Ian Dowd Genny and Ciro, in the season three, become kinda close friends...like brothers.
At the end of the day there was only 2 left: Genny and Ciro.
They helped theirselves to reborn and become great again but in the end Genny is forced to kill Ciro because of Enzo’s sister revenge.
Demon Kane nice one lad I know that they are the only two remaining out of both crews but did the dynamics change after genny sold his popa out to ciro and that’s what brought them back together. Anyway cheers for the heads up.
Ian Dowd In the first season you can check that Geni trusts Ciro more than his own life but Ciro's goal is to take over the whole business betraying everyone. (THE REST IS A BIG SPOILER, JUST WATCH FIRST AND SECOND SEASON) And in this third season, Ciro can't stand the idea to live after everything he has done and somehow he tries to redeem by taking responsibility for Geni's decisions and he sacrifices himself despite not having done anything. Somehow Geni respects and loves Ciro after all.
Ciro killed Genny’s mother and father and now they’re best friends again... Yea watching season 1 and 2 won’t help at all with understanding that relationship 🤣
Ciro wanted to be the BOSS in the first season knowing Gennaro wasnt rdy for all but after Gennaro came back from Honduras he knew he cant trust anyone. So Genni tried everything alone and left Ciro as only a Soldier and not as a right hand. So Ciro was angry and killed Donna Imma and wanted to destroy the Savastano Clan. Genni survived the whole beef with Ciro and started to make deals in Rome with Don Giuseppe Avitabile, to get into buissnes again. But Gennaro learned that no matter where he is, he would only play the second role,in Secondigliano(homwtown) under his father and in Rome he would only get the second role under Don Avitabile. So he grouped up with Ciro again, to be the BOSS. Ciro and Genni, both knew they fucked up earlier but they ended up being alone and they saw all this as a second chance. And since Genni learned, he cant trust his Family and Don P. made move against Genni too, Genni knewd his father has to die, otherwise he would never be a Boss or get killed by his father.So Genni wanted that Ciro kill his Father.

Ma che cavolo dici io ci vivo da tutta la vita al sud e in venti anni avrò visto 2 omicidi dove vivo, è un paese di 13 mila abitanti come tutti i paesi d'Italia e del mondo... ci sono le solite cazzatelle, le risse ma non è che massacrano la gente tutti i giorni, in 3 anni a Napoli una città grandissima ci sono stati solo 85 omicidi, ciò vuol dire che ci sono stati una ventina di omicidi all'anno, se andiamo a comparare i dati con qualsiasi altra grande città del mondo non ci sono paragoni; da altre parti fanno molti più morti.
