Sounds like your ignition is not recognizing your key. Should have a solid light not a flashing one.Do you have another key you can try. Possible your transponder failed inside your key.
It turned out to be a blown fuse. Something told me to recheck the fuses. I think it blew the fuse because one of the battery terminals was full of corrosion. Cleaned it off and put new fuse in. Then, we had communication with scan tool and security light would go solid. Car started.
@@letstakeitapart8922 i will check fuse 41. my issue is PATS is engaged, and the keys got forgotten. but somehow we cant communicate with PATS to reprogram the keys. I have sent my PCM to have the PATS deleted. will post response after it comes back.
Following your advice I changed blown fuse #41 and it started right up. Thanks

You didn't check to make sure the PCM had power and ground before condemning it
