excellent docu from start to finish. you covered the complete cycle from cubhood to adulthood. i especially enjoyed the young adult male, evicted from his pride, learning to hunt and surviving on his own.
I freaking LOVE lion cubs...their little growls. And did anyone else hear him say "OW" when the mother disciplined him? Omg such cute little killing machines 😍
Yes, the females often mate with more than male in the pride. That means cubs are often siblings (same mom) and also cousins (different fathers). When the young males are driven out of the pride, they leave together and will spend the rest of their lives together. Females usually stay with the rest of females for the rest of their lives. Prides are made up of mothers, grandmothers, great grandmothers, sisters, aunts and cousins. 🦁
@@rachelschwebach7566 yes BUT they are saying the Cubs have different fathers IN THE SAME LITTER !!! How does that work,1 lion fertalizes 1 egg and a different egg is fertilized by another Male,so the female is made pregnant by 2 Male lions at the same time!!! That's just mad,I know the females will mate with both males BUT I'd never would have thought that both could impregnate her at the same time.
Yes they do that so both male lions treat the cubs as there own. Bc sometimes the dominate male will go on pratol for days so the less dominate male will mate with the in heat females.
I love this video👍the narrator is great and spot on in letting us know well what's happening and you hear the natural background no music at all 👌👌the video is super👍

Did that lion really just point his unit straight back and fire hose the bush behind him? With such power and authority. I’m blown away. That there is serious talent.
There's some great new documentaries, like 'White lions,' 'Swamp lions,' or 'Pride & punishment.' But with newbies, they don't want to tell the lions story, they want to tell A story. I watched a documentary about brothers, & they used different lions. 1 scene the lion had half a tail. Next scene, his tail reappeared. SMH!

The lion mother was crying because she had injured badly we gave her water and from the looks of her injury it looked like It was a pride take over she ran with her babies she felt comfortable enough to push her baby in our hand were shocked we stayed with for 2hour after that she died my my grandparents raised those beautiful lion cubs I wish I could should the pictures and everytime when I visit the 2 cubs jump on me outta of excited I love them we are planning to send back once their are adults

*We're technologically advanced, but to me, older documentaries are better quality!*
That's because the people behind the new documentaries like to involve themselves too much, instead of telling the animal's story they tell their own.
