When I was in my house the power company was literally stealing from me. I didn't turn my heat on all winter, I didn't cook much, had my lights off, and they were still sending me a bill of over $150.00 on average. The only thing that was running is my refrigerator and one of my TV's. Which wasn't turned on until the evening.
That’s why you get solar panels. You get a tax break and you don’t pay much for electricity and can sell back to PGE ! 🙏🏽

And when you say green energy is not adequate thats like claiming the entire US Navy is inadequate to service every maritime need of all the worlds oceans. Your still talking about 20% of net generation which is 1.2 million GWh of production.
Green energy still has challenges with intermittency - yes, but thats less a challenge on the generation side and more a challenge on the distribution and grid side.

She forgot to say that car registration for EVs is ridiculous. My gas car registration is 250$, my husband’s Tesla registration is 700$!!! They will get your money one way or another.
You gas car will pay and equivalent amount in gasoline taxes.
Is your gasoline care and Tesla the same age and price value? I doubt it, as the disparity isn't that much different. Most states are charging: $100/year extra tax for EV's, in the registration.
@@MrArtist7777 Registration is not a tax. It is permission to use your car on the roads. The extra fee is to make up for the gasoline tax you pay for at the pump. States taxes are additional to the registration fee.

@@alysanguyen643 They're pretty safe. Their main issue is refueling; stations go down quite a bit and can leave people stranded. That, and the only infrastructure is in CA and HI, I believe.
Propane would work better. There are conversion kits out there, and there is a lot of propane infrastructure out and running already. It is not the same with hydrogen or electric fueling.

Here in Vermont there is almost $50 in fees, taxes and past storm fees (added for the next 3 years) even before you start using the electricity... and we have that doubled because we have a barn in use. Winter months can be very expensive because we get increases from around Oct - April, and we unplug everything...
Vermont is the only state to use almost 100 percent renewables. But they cheat. 48 percent comes from out of state.

The secretary failed to mention that charging ONE electric car at your home is equal to having 20 refrigerators in your home. Your electric bill make your skyrocket! Additionally, the current power grid cannot tolerate having many electric cars under the current infrastructure. What we well start seeing is brown outs and blackouts. Go ahead, buy an electric car!

I have a non plug in hybrid vehicle and I chose that for many reasons vs an EV. Lack of plug in infrastructure, charging times, distance and recharging needs, costs, unable to charge at home unless I pay for a charging unit in our apartment building. Just so many reasons why I chose a non plug in hybrid. People who can afford an EV and have the ability to charge, don't travel long distances can have it. Just not realistic for all households in all areas of the country. Maybe someday.

Good luck getting the tax credits. I tried for these solar panels and they gave me like $2k and the credit is carrying over to next year, and I have no idea for how long. Just stupid and expensive.

I agree with a lot of what was said, except for a few things, wind energy is not as "safe" as you think, cause to be able to hold them, they have to put gigantic concrete bloc around it that stay there when the whole thing is brought down, also apparently you can really recycle the metal from it, so they basically dig holes and burry them so... And also, lets not be "stupid", the day electric vehicules are gonna be a majority of the existing cars, they gonna find way to put taxes and screw us the way they did with gas (and btw most of those batteries are a mess to recycle, and the way to make it is also a pollution itself, so im not sure that if we put that in the balance against gas cars, its really that big of a difference)

Any green energy conversation that doesnt include nuclear power isnt a serious conversation. If you want to reduce your home cooling and heating cost, look into Geothermal

Send us the forms? I got solar and I will get a tax credit when I sell. Now I pay 179 a month. Free public transportation? I have to walk over 2 miles to catch a bus, then it takes all day.
I believe in all this stuff but I live in a suburban area of Phoenix. There's nothing!
I live in a state where EV's are not very practical. Maybe in the summer and if you live in a town. One stretch of our road doesnt have a gas station for almost 200 miles no joke. The people whom can afford evs probably dont stay here in the winter and if they do i would bet 20$ they drive their gas vehicles in the winter.
We also dont really get enough sun and the Eastern part of the state is windy but there are alot of ranches and Reservations and they wouldnt want the wind turbines.
Also, the only people who say the economy is doing great....are wealthy people. And thats great for them. But they need to realize thats not what it feels like to the rest of us.

Rich people are going to start getting 440 volt, 3 phase fast chargers installed on their properties. That will lead to running their AC/Heat Pumps, pool pumps/heaters, and even kitchen major appliances on the higher voltage which draws less currant and costs much less to run.
