There’s some errors in this vid Ibn Ibad isn’t the founder of Istiqamah(Ibadhis) he was the spokesperson and former military leader. The Scholar Jabir Ibn Zayd is the founder of Istiqamah they got the name “Ibadhis” because they especially Ibn Ibad were strongly opposed to Umayyad rule so they labeled them after Ibn Ibad to try to slander them. For centuries they rejected that label but later embraced it since Ibn Ibad was viewed highly by them.

Oman is like the Buddhist of Middle East I hope in future the neibourgh will not be too aggressive to this preserved cultural gem, even their Islam branch is unique called Ibadi different from Sunni and Shia but they dont want to be distinguish differently..which shows their humbleness and good heart RESPECT from Cambodia 🇰🇭❤🇴🇲

Ibadis don't believe in predestination. That is a common misconception. Their views, which are similar to that of the Sunni Asharis, could be called compatibilist. In other words, it tries to reconcile predestination (or rather, God creating all acts) with Free Will (necessary for Divine Justice to exist). This position is called the Acquisition of the Acts, and it means that all acts (and their respective multiple outcomes) are created by God, but that, out of all of the possible acts one can take for a given decision (say, choose between an orange and a pear), humans are free to choose between the different options, and then, a path is opened for them. It's basically like a video game.

Greetings. @0:37 I see that you took our banner for your video. Al hamdulilah no problem.
@2:17 "They thought that battle would be the only way to settle a conflict as it would give God a chance at judgement in battle."
This is a total misrepresentation of what we believe and I do not blame you Stoic History because you are not going to the sources. You are most likely repeating what Orientalist have said. The Qur'an gives several examples of conflict resolution, between husband and wife for example. So husband and wife are supposed to 'battle' until one is the victor? It makes no sense.
Have you heard of the battle of Uhud? That is when Prophet Muhammed (saw) and his companions lost to the Quresh. So that means the Pagans were upon the truth? Or Hitler's victory of the Jews means he was upon the truth?
Or that U.S military prowess over Afghanistan and Iraq means the U.S is upon the truth?
Dear Stoic, we have a website, we have a WhatsApp group in English where those who want to learn directly from our Scholars can ask questions and be answered.
The other issue is you do not give citations of anything that you are presenting.
@5:39 You liken the Ibadi belief in Occasionalism to Calvinism. Calvinism believe in hard determinism. We do not.
