The Joker's Wild was on NBC Affiliate WDIV-TV Channel 4 from 1979-1984 at 7:00PM nightly with host Jack Barry until his death in 1984, but in September 1984, WXON-TV Channel 20 carried The Joker's Wild with host Bill Cullen at 6:30PM nightly right after Tic Tac Dough with host Wink Martindale at 6:00PM also nightly until January 1985, and followed by Dallas at 7:00PM every nightly. But, The Joker's Wild with host Bill Cullen went to ABC Affiliate WXYZ-TV Channel 7 for it's final season at 10:30AM daily right after Tic Tac Dough with new host Jim Caldwell at 10:00AM also daily for it's final season in fall 1985.
The Audience Game was not played on every show in the 1981-82 season, at least not early on in the season. Jack says at the end of this episode that they were playing the audience game on the next show.
If there's any visual indications about this show, Season 4 not only marked the breakage of the Gender Balance but also introduced the nametags. This season brought us the audience game, meaning the episode can end with 9-10 minutes left in the episode because of the audience game, this new set also brought us the players now making their entrances when introduced.
I think by this time WLFD Chicago dropped TJW from it's weeklight lineup but brought it back 2 years later also at night and aired it till I'm not sure when the I know it ended in 1986.
One more I don't understand, I know when you usually win on this show it is $500 or more, but Jack/Bill will say a contestant gets a final turn, "How does that happen sometimes?"

The Jokers Wild I used to watch it on WDIV channel 4. Jack Barry hosted until his death in 1984 he died while jogging at Central Park in early morning hours of May 2, 1984. Jim Peck substitute host from 1982-86. Bill Cullen last two seasons after Jack Barry died WDIV didn’t air any of his episodes.

The person who uploaded this probably doesn't realize that this hasn't been seen since at least 1982-83(some stations aired double runs of Joker that season, including WPVI in Philly in Spring-Summer 1983, with the second run being a year old rerun), as GSN never aired this season.

It happens only if the first player reaches $500. It's done so both players get an equal amount of turns at the Joker machine.
