2017 Honda Ridgeline Running Boards Installation

  • In this video, I go through the steps for installing the factory OEM Honda running boards/ side steps on a 2017 Honda Ridgeline.
    There are three versions of these and one has a chrome strip along the edge, one is all black, and another has lights. Make sure you get the correct ones for your year and the trim that you want.
    You should check the factory installation holes prior to this and make sure they are not too rusty. You'll need to be able to thread the new bolts into them.
    Honda Running Boards - Part Number
    08L33-T6Z-101A - This was for 2017 with chrome strip.
    Tools required:
    Socket wrench
    torque wrench
    13mm socket
    utility knife
    scraper for any undercoating in the bracket area
    possibly a re-threading tool (#8 size)
    WD-40 or similar

    Excellent video. I envy your rust-free undercarriage. My '17 Ridgeline suffers from Northern New England weather. November's just begun and it has already snowed.

      Glad it was helpful. I lived in Maine and spent enough winters there to know what can happen with salt and snow with something like this. I hope the rust isn’t too bad if you are installing.
