Your angels answered a dilemna for a few years! I'm using my loved ones' signatures that I circle punched from cards I've saved throughout my life. I decided to part with tons of cards, this is the year. I've been trying to decide how I can hang them on my tree, and so as a paper crafter I punched them, using a circle die cut for the halo, that has tiny holes around the edge, perfect for clear thread or twine for a hanger; metallic papers for the wings. Thank you! I can't wait to hang my little angels with parent's, gram's, aunt's signatures.
Oh, Susan - I am so moved by your comment. Thank you so much for letting me know how this connected with you. What precious memories will be on your tree this year, with all your dear angels looking out for you! Again, thank you for being part of this very special project.
I appreciate that you keep your projects beginner friendly as well as offer ideas to more advanced crafters. I am still struggling with drawing circles and have recently bought some circle punches. Thanks for this adorable idea 💡
Oh, how lovely of you to comment, my fellow Anne-with-an-E! Yes, I never tire of working with circles - their possibilities seem endless. Thank you so much, and sending you best wishes from Oregon, USA, to Sweden.
I really like the idea of using fabric at times in place of paper. It's like an extra surprise and nice texture. Love the angels. ❤ Yes to wallpaper for paper crafts. I watch another RUclipsr "Linda's Paper Works". She got samples, I forget where, but they are beautiful. Thank you and blessings. 🤗🦃
Thanks so very much, Lynda! I really like the little tactile surprise the fabric and lace brings to these dear angels as well. I'm very touched that this project resonated with so many folks. We all have "angels" we miss and wish to honor this time of year, especially!
Oh how sweet! Absolutely love these darling angels. All the patterns and textures really make them! You did a lot of prepping. It makes your videos go so smooth. Very intrigued by the wallpaper mention. 😀 Many thanks. Take care! It looks like you are in for a bit of weather. ❤❤❤
Thank you, my angelic friend! And our weather's not so bad. Very windy at the coast, but here in Portland we're just getting lots of rain - which we are accustomed to!
Your angels are so sweet. I am going to try making some angels for cards I make for my family. Thank you for sharing your wonderful video with us. 🤗👍 Darlene watching from Alabama.
These are so sweet, just love them 👼🏻 Sometimes, places that sell paint, wallpaper and flooring will have old wallpaper sample books that they will just let you have. 😊
@@JannaStamps That's so kind, thank you! But honestly with the stuff I got on Sunday, I'm really well-set in the wallpaper department - I can't wait to start using it!
Hi Anne! Your angels are so lovely and sweet! They are very useful and versatile. I can´t wait to try them. I appreciate all your hard work. That´s a great idea for the Christmas tree, cards, gift cards and for journal. TFS!🩷🩷🩷🩷😇😇😇😇
Thanks for the sweet feedback, Marcia, I hope you enjoy making your own angels! I had actually planned to do another angel using a crimped cupcake paper for the wings, but then I forgot!
@@annekenlon Oh, I made some angels with candies paper, similar the cupcake one, but smaller. I used one for the body and one for the wings and I put hair, made with dry corn husk. Very cute, too.
Hi, Anne Thank you for this lovely angel idea. I want to make an art journal of angels this winter. Great timing. I have a half yard of fabric to use as well. One of those pieces for which I had no project in mind but couldn't resist it's beauty. It has metallic gold and white fireworks looking circles in many sizes on it. I will probably start with a few tissue paper and crepe paper angels first. You've made me especially excited to start this journal. Nancy in Nevada
Nancy, your plan sounds just wonderful. I'm so honored that these little angels might find a place in your lovely wintery journal. Thanks for watching!
It's almost 7:00 in the morning and it's time for me to take a break! Now, that could mean one of two things - either (1) I've been up working for HOURS or (B) I tire out that easily... I'll let you decide! Either way, I have to add "find my circle punches" to my list of things to do. Anne, these are precious! TYFS 🩷😇🩷 Hugs, MK 🤗❤️🤗 Oh! And if you put your flannel piece, the one you wanted to punch, between a couple pieces of paper and then punch it, it may work - especially if it's thin, wimpy flannel.
MK, I just love knowing you're crafting and laughing right along there with me! Hope those circle punches aren't hiding too deep - they've got some work to do! ❤️
For the wall paper, go to your paint store and ask them what they do with the books. I got 4 big ones. They are great for crafting. I was put on a list because many people want them. But it took only 3 weeks for them to call me. I was allowed to take 4.
Oh, Nicole, I'm so glad that source works for you! What a treasure! I've checked at our neighborhood paint stores for years but they simply don't carry wallpaper or samples anymore - I guess nobody in Portland hangs wallpaper!
Hi, Charlene! The heads/faces on all these angels are 1-inch punched circles. The others range between 3 and 3 1/2 inches - they are all die cuts here. I've also made these angels very successfully using 3/4-inch circle punches for the heads, 1 3/4-inch punches for the dress, and 2-inch punches for the wings.
