I think a lot of people don't give Guel credit where it's due, he has fought against two Gund-arm format types, and here he actually puts a really good fight despite being in the much much inferior Dilanza
When you really think about it for someone using what's essentially this AU's zaku he held a ridiculously good fight against what's conventionally overpowered UC funnel weapons

I think they were just referencing him to another character. All memes aside the fandom put a respect on him. He's also a tsundere. I think him taking a beating with Gund format would give him advantage. Their duel motto already says that. He's probably one of Sulletta's allies later on. I swear people thought this series would be so light hearted but it keeps getting darker with all the political things while the students don't know what's behind all of the scenes. I wonder when will their colony gets destroyed

Also there's several layers of irony, considering that Suletta and her family were of Earth Orchs, you can somewhat say that she's unaware of the fact that she's actually an Earthian, while Miorine is blissfully unaware that her own father has been leading the charge to oppress the people of the planet she wishes to reside in, making Suletta and Miorine a very ironic duo, with an unknowing Earthian who just wants to experience school and bring it to what was her home (Mercury), and a Spacian who wants to go to Earth, not knowing that her father oppresses the people there

To Guel his knowledge only extends to the power dynamics of the companies in the school, I doubt he's even aware of the fact that Dilanzas are out on earth spraying tear gas on rioting Earthians
Almost every major character we've had so far has suffered a form of consequence from their parents:
-Suletta is a tool to exact revenge by her mother
-Miorine's entire life is controlled by her father (with the holder being her groom whether she likes it or not, she becomes a trophy that companies aim for their children to wed simply because of the connections it will bring)
-Guel as the best pilot, who believes that he's holding the pride of his father's company when in actuality his father was just using him to become the holder and once the connection was made, assassinate the lead and overthrow the union as leader)
-Elan (kind of) being stripped of his life as a test subject for permet link enhancements, and his spite for Suletta a result of the fact that she surpasses his artificially induced abilities by his "family" (or company, it's unknown whether the group took him in as a result of his enhancements or the other way around) without any painful side effects
Elan just went from "nice to meet you, miss" to "I gonna bissect you slowly"

@@BIG_D0218 Funny, while he's full of references to Four from Z Gundam, the first character I think of was Dark Kabuto from Kamen Rider Kabuto, and the first Gundam characters are Canard from X Astray. Mostly because I can't remember Four has resentment toward real newtype in the way Elan show to Suletta.

He's legitimately superior skilled
He is a very competent pilot, it's just he's piloting what's essentially a Zaku or even a Gouf against an OP Gundam-type that uses Funnels/Bits. Give him an actual Gundam and the odds will be even.
Elan's reaction is interesting to me. He sees Suletta as a fellow gundam pilot, thinking she experiences the same hardships he does. When he finds out she doesn't, and her life isn't in danger when she pilots her Gundam, he lashes out. Lots going on there.

At 5:19 she asks if Suletta has siblings while pointing to 11. Aerial has eleven Gund-bits/funnels. Elan-4 saw the silhouette of children and heard their voices in episode 6 when Aerial activated some sort of new type ability during their duel.
All the signs point to the bits containing the souls/minds of children possibly Suletta’s siblings.

I think he is interested in her because he thought he finally found someone that is the same as him, an enhance people that has a curse of gund-format(hence the red permet mark) but it turns out suletta is not the same as him, suletta didnt get the curse she is just a normal human that are chosen and loved by aerial and he felt betrayed by that.

@@alieztears dont think he knows suletta high compatibility with Aerial. Likely Aerial itself uses different system than Lfrith since we dont see Suletta glowing up while using Aerial. It likely Aerial is deisgned based on Suletta high compatibility with Lfrith which could mean Aerial uses a downgrade/legal version of GUND format.
Have a feeling Aerial is like wing while Lfrith is wing zero. The prototype that end up as her upgrade MS.

1. Guel really shaping into this show Collasour, having bad luck against Gundam. He probably will fare better against grunt suit.
2. Yeah, in prologue at least Suletta is shown as normal human that -somehow- managed to access lv.4 (iirc) permet score and unleashed Lfrith's full capabilities.
My guess this capability is this show's equivalent of Newtype.
the curse Elan was referring to was GUND-Format's Permet influx which is harmful to human body. He thought that Suletta was an enhanced human like him that can resist these influx. from my understanding of prologue, the callback is somewhat a response from MS to Pilot, creating a compatibility and unison between the two. which gives the MS similarly human response and reaction organically.
I think 'lifted a curse' means Suletta doesn't suffer from adverse effects from using Aerial with GUND format. Afaik, yeah, Suletta is pure and not modified like Elan

Imagine the frustration Guel's dad must be feeling every time a Jeturk-made mobile suit is destroyed.
Guel actually got the skills, the big problem is the gap in tech. note that Patrick started to get good after he got the GN-X and he helped rekting the Dynames and Nadleeh with it. (still lost, but he helped take down two Gen 3 units using a 1.5-2nd Gen unit)
That was different mobile suit he lose againts real gundam at three time
@@gunplamaniac8500 like IBO, normal MS can't beat Gundam frames, especially Gundam frame with AV. Even new era engineers try to improve newer MS, their still barely beat Gundam frames. They make 2 cores MS(Graze Eins and Reginlaze Julia) like gundam but still worse.
I love UC because even it's gundam, it can be killed by other mass produce MS with skilled pilot.

What I learned today:
- The lady who cares on Elan is another 'Witch'. So she must be a former Oaks Earth.
- Peil Company is a company that replace Oaks Earth from Prologue but it seems like it was quite literal as well as they should have taken some staff
- Peil Company is developing GUND in secret.
- Elan is a clone enhanced human made using Permet to be able to handle GUND-format. From how he doesn't make reaction at data storm, it seems like he doesn't have pain or emotional nerve installed. There is a sign of individual will though so he is still biological lifeform instead of cyborg.
- The Witch right now isn't Suletta but her mom
- They call Elan as Subject Number 4 so there are 3 other like him. Considerinng they're not here, I assume that they're dead.
- Elan's birth project is most likely Peil Company attempt to erase the Ethical problem of GUND-format of killing its pilots by making hole that the pilot isn't 'human' but mass produced 'artificial lifeform' so Ethic itself is out of the window. Well, I guess they still haven't succeed on making it not humanoid so they haven't cleared the ethical problem entirely.
- Suletta has no idea regarding GUND and GUND-format incident. So she doesn't know that her MS is a Gundam. Aerial is aware of it though.
- The reason why Elan is angry is that he must have felt like his whole life (and those before him) denied by Suletta's and Aerial very existence. GUND-format still hurts like hell to use and he must have faced countless experiment for him to get to this point yet Suletta has proven that the whole Data Storm has actually been resolved 10+ years ago, so his suffering those 10+ years will be for nothing.
Aerial vs pharact should be interesting, we'll finally get to see it fight against another gundam. Seriously, this show keeps getting better each week

You just know that this fight will be "see-the-heroine-lose" trope.
In my opinion, Ep 0 has the clues of this conundrum. I think Permet is kind of like a radioactive material that gets into human being like toxic materials. Anyone who is in contact of it may be contracted by a disease of some kind. And since Permet is used in MS manufacturing, as a control system (like computer chips), some scientist went ahead and try to make a human-to-machine interface. And with MS manufacturing takes center stage, with budget comes integration to it. And in EP 0, Sulleta has Permet thinggy, just blue (maybe an evolution of some kind) so she is infected, but mutated to live with it, and with it comes better human to machine interface that connects her to LFrith now named Aireal.
Likely, as her parent are GUND users maybe her body already mutated from birth.
Good theory
For me Permet is kind of a program that running Gund Format System, when they implement Gund Format to control a mobile suit the Permet program become overload because it cannot handle so much information at once, that's why the pilot feel a lot of pain and suffer or even die when try to control a Gundam
i think permet score is like the IBO vaj things.. but suleta has the compatibility of the gundam soo the thing elan said about curse is that they are not lucky enough to be compatible..
and until the later episode only when learned that Suletta is not Eri

I think the decisive factor would be how long Elan can sustain staying at a high Permet score since we see the strain it took on previous pilots. Seems to be less lethal compared to previous variations since it disables rather than doing direct damage.

10:12 G-Witch's main plot is inspired by Shakespeare's Tempest. Now Miomio's throwing a Romeo and Juliet. I wonder if it's just another Shakespeare reference or if we're going to get a star-crossed lovers subplot, though it doesn't necessarily has to be between Elan and Suletta.
With how Elan's background and trait resemble Kyouka Ningen much, him become the star-crossed lover would be plausible.
That being said, the possibility of Elan as a love interest isn't gone despite his attempts to sink the Sulelan ship. His last name, Ceres, refers to the planet, and the planet's full name is Ceres Fernanda. The name of the prince in the Tempest is Ferdinand, who marries Miranda, Suletta's role.
Also princes are an antagonistic force in Utena, but they're love interests as well, with Touga in particular. It's possible Elan is a Touga clone, like Suletta-Utena, Mio-Anthy, and Guel-Saionji.

And ep. 6 happens. I hope Sulletta founds out El4n true name and identity, and truly get to know her 1st friend, love and comerade in pain. Because it would be too sad if El4n forgotten just like that.

About Suletta Mercury, her character is almost similar to Olivia in MobSeka (isekai of romance game whose main character is a mob character), cheerful, shy, and awkward. By the way, both Olivia and Suletta or Sule are voiced by Kana Ichinose

About Aerial,that gundam is more than a mobile suit with Gund-Arm system.
I wish Guel will be able to bounce back from this, he is such a nice guy.
I guess we now know who was the Brother was reffering to during the Fortune telling that they do, i guess Suletta Brother was probably Aerial her Mobile Suit,
Guel maybe on a loosing streak but, his actually showing some insane piloting skill, he can keep up agains a gundam, but his recklessness attitude is getting on his way
I love the concept of temporary disables on a suit and on the pharact a sniping machine (assuming) is very cool by the end of the fight the only thing I said was "holy shit"
Take a very good look at the color of the Pharact's GUND-BITS during the fight. It glows red when it zooms around, compared to Suletta's Aerial, that glows blue. Then when we look back at the Prologue, Nadim also had his own glow as red... something is definitely special with Suletta.
Based on what we know so far, it's save to say that Sulleta is indeed special since she can pilot the Gundam without the deadly side effects (glows blue) while also being pure human. So, again, out of common sense, suletta COULD have refused to be staked since she's an unrelated third party -- could EVEN refuse to duel elan for that matter -- no matter what the silly rules of the anime say.

For those who are still wondering about Permet Score, it's an augmentation to control Gundam. However, it caused some neurological issues if ever the Mobile Suit did not respond or have the pilot a Callback.
If the Mobile Suit gave a Callback to the pilot successfully, then the pilot could able to give Permet Score without any Neurological Side effects.

I'm also curious about how the Permet/PMET Score works, because it leaves marks on the body, let's call it "Permet Mark".
There must be something connecting the pilot and the mobile suit, like using "wires", or just using voice commands? Hmm...

The plot armor😂 only applies to Sulletta, not Aerial. It could be one of those episodes where the protagonist loses her power and comes back with a better one thru training.
@@bulldogrocks fair point fair point. however, I'm inclined to believe the next episode will be more of an affirmation of Suletta's superiority to Elan but also establish more of her mystery as a Gundam pilot. looking into this episode, there were several points raised through certain scenes.
One it was suggested that Suletta may have had some sort of augmentation done to her in the same way Elan had. Elan thought they were similar but ultimately concluded they were different and he's out to prove his method of compatibility to the GUND format superior in no uncertain terms.
Second, it appears that Elan's method of controlling the GUND format was inspired by the early work of Suletta's mom and carried on by someone who appears to be her junior in research and who also easily guessed Suletta's mom's identity under the mask. Suletta's mom acknowledges it when confronted by saying "so there was another witch after all."
Third, Suletta curiously has no recollection of the death of her father despite being there in the cockpit with her mom when it all happened. Now this can be explained as some kind of traumatic side effect, but the way Suletta says "I was told..." is kinda sus to me. On top of Elan's statements about being made to pilot a Gundam, it's a nice way to set up a good mystery surrounding Suletta's overall identity.
So yeah next episode can go either ways: Suletta loses, loses Aerial, gets stronger, wins her back as per the usual trope (which is kinda boring if we follow the show's current story-telling methodology), OR Suletta wins as usual, but then makes her even more mysterious as a Gundam pilot and highlights the ways her mom overcame the early shortcomings of the GUND format.

First you're like kek the drone doesn't do damage like aerial's and it only shuts down whatever the laser touches
But when the whole machine starts to feel like a vegetable that when you feel like shitting your pants as pharact starts playing with you

Guel is freaking awesome. I'm sure he's got a chance if he was piloting the Darilbalde instead of this machine. Again another great episode
His MS and nis brother's are only custom MS. And they could beat Sword(Elan's MS at start) with his skill. But Gundams are far superior than normal MS even with support AI.

@@Poptienza03 I think the 4th episode did mention that the moon has Permet and most mining operations have shifted there, so Mercury is largely abandoned for Permet mining purposes.
