Operation Render Safe | Nauru

#ICYMI a play by play of #OurPeople 🇦🇺 working alongside the Nauru Police Force 🇳🇷 in reducing the explosive remnants of war from Pacific nations.
At the request of the Government of Nauru, #YourADF rapidly deployed a small contingent of explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) technicians and medical staff to ensure the safe disposal of a 500lb unexploded ordnance (UXO) 💣.
Last December the UXO was successfully rendered safe, and Christmas festivities were able to continue in Nauru, danger free 🎄.
Operation RENDER SAFE is the Australian Defence Force-led operation to reduce the hazard of explosive remnants of war from Pacific Island nations.

I believe these honourable men and women will need all the practice and live fire practice they can get. I’m no Military expert, but the feeling I get when I join up all the dots seems to unfortunately but positively in my opinion say that many many more sons and daughters are going to be needed to fight like Australia has never seen before. Absolutely we have a massive Reputation for Australian bravery and suffering in wars gone by. But this time the challenge is on for a new Empire to dominate the world. This can never be allowed to happen. Sadly in my opinion our governments until very very recently have sat on their hands not to upset our neighbours to the north. But we should have been looking at this 30/40 years back. I’m very concerned about our future especially in the next 5 years.??? Also the people have been completely disarmed and possibly vulnerable. We need to start training YESTERDAY men and women over the age of 18 in the preparation of Self defence of this nation. The Reserve Army , navy, and Airforce needs to be at least 5 times its size and the regular Army Tripled. This may go down against people’s beliefs but we should have also had Hundreds of ballistic missile silos or Surface to Air systems that can cater for any type of war head. Including and most importantly intercontinental ballistic nuclear warheads. I feel that if war takes place. The memories of how important Australia played as a platform for allied and Australian forces including the food basket to supply these soldiers may be a huge consideration for the Enemy to this time blockade Australia before this Enemy takes or attempts to take Taiwan. The taking of Taiwan is going to happen. And China is not going to wait for us to become a strong and powerful force. What a mess that is heading our way in our part of the world. My love to my nation AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺. I’d give my life in a second to help this beautiful country and my beautiful family. ❤️🇦🇺👍🙏

we literally CAN'T have Nuclear ballistic missiles. we are a listed country that can't have nuclear weapons in the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Plus most likely China will fight economic wars rather than land based, and really we only need enough military power to hold over until the Americans arrive.

This is a real test for the Specialists in this field but in saying that i am certain that these persons will adapt fast and be ready to deploy when the call comes.
We have all seen films such as the Hurt Locker and others where actors playing ordanance diposal Specialist troops are confronted by nightmares as far as ecplosives ordanance goes and safely eliminating the devices right there or safely clearing to a disposal area and i am sure our Persons who specialised in such operations for real back then against the war on terrororism did a magnificent job under the worse possible enviroments and still maybe actively involved in the services stll or be it in the Instructor /Training Role and totally worth their weight in gold are completely.Worthy of all our Respect.
