I have to make a choice between fx30 and fx3… the difference of the price it’s soooo big , and when I saw your footage im like okkkk fx30 it’s literally so good
Hi, friend. I plan to purchase an FX30, but I don't have a computer. Do you think LumaFusion is suitable for working with video? How do you transfer video from the camera to your iPhone?
Yea same conclusion I came to for run and gun wedding video. We use lights for reception, dancing and the ceremony if it's not outside and and the rest of the time we are counting on natural light and their isn't enough time to set up lights. I would Like to get it though as a tripod cam for the ceremony and reception and it's a solid little beast with a fan and tally light and of course it's sony master of the game at autofocus! Just don't expect a7siii low light capabilities
Amazing shots my friend! Got to use the FX30 on a recent short film I did on my channel which was all shot at night and was blown away with the results. People really don't understand how good it is. cheers!
Beautiful footage. I just bought the Sony A6700 and I'm looking around trying to decide if I should have just gotten the FX30. This is very compelling.
I have used the Sony FX30 with different lenses before but not in low light situations yet. And I just have used it in 4K 60fps 4:2:0 10 bits resolution (I haven't used it in 120fps because of the awful crop in the sensor in that frame rate). I think the quality of the FX30 in low light situations, in this video, is pretty decent is we compare with any Sony A6*** camera and the 16-50mm f3.5-5.6 kit lens. On the other hand I also had the Lumix G85 and the 12-60mm f3.5-5.6 kit lens, during a few month in 2023, and I tell you... the quality in low light situations is even worse, unless you have one of those Rotolight lights. Certainly, which picture profile and color LUT did you use in this video (I also edit with Final Cut X by the way)?
This is great and love to see some home town footage - very well shot. :) There is a bit in the music you used here which sounds like the melody of Foolish Heart by Steve Perry and gives the footage a very chill 80s vibe (80s kid here 😂). I’m new to Sony and just got an A7Cii and having to learn all about shooting slog3.
Bro can u share the camera settings please i have fx30 too , i always get noise when i do night shoot, and which lens u use , ?? love the quality of ur video
@@thompsonjames918 I don't think it's worth upgrading. It seems like the FX30 is overheating easily for a lot of people and reviewers and the difference compared to the a7iii won't be as noticeable, IMO. I would wait for a better upgrade, something that would actually make a noticeable difference. Maybe getting better glass until something really good comes along for a decent price. Like a mid-range global shutter hybrid low-light beast.
@@sloppysteaks I enjoyed your video. It brought me joy. Was simply curious how hard you’re pushing the ISO to hear from real world experiences. As well as curious about if you were using a wide open aperture. This is all. My questions are valid in the quest for knowledge.
I wish Sony had an option to entirely turn off all temporal filters & noise reduction from the encoded All Intra footage in 10bit. That will make more sense to shift to Cf express cards for higher priority encoding.
No, you shouldn't have said that the "FX30 is bad in low light"; You should've said "The FX30 is bad in Absolutely No Light." I just watched another video comparing the FX30 to the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. They did it like someone would do a vlog. There really isnt any comparison as the FX30 ROCKS!

Love this so much! Looks great and this camera really does do well in low light.
Looks fantastic. The only downfall for me is the total dark areas, there’s a lot of noise going on there

Also digging the music - sounds so much like Choir Boy.
I’m hearing The Human League’s “Human”.
Yes, I agree.
I’m hearing a bit of Foolish Heart (the chorus part) by Steve Perry…goes really well with the mood of this video.
