I've been thinking recently it would have been smart if they made an alternate method in the menu selection like they did with the Naruto ultimate ninja series. In this case they could apply the beam struggle to tapping one or all of the face buttons, and if for some reason it caused issues for split screen play, they could restrict it to singleplayer
My brothers and I destroyed so many controllers because of beam struggles. We eventually started going out of our way to avoid beam and melee struggles.
@@Pen_Slinger lol I assume that was due to your own split screen multiplayer. I for one never broke a controller and I played a lot. One thing I'm not sure people realize is that now the beam struggles more closely resemble dragon ball heroes gameplay.

Fun fact you can also do a beam struggle with the special beam cannon and any single finger beam like lord slugs in his first form or a death beam

Only thing I hate is to spin the analog stick if you play an older controller it would probably jammed or cause it not to function properly
