- In this video I show how a Skreem, Skim, Win, Wcm is replaced. This may not be concidered a DIY video unless you have the proper tools and access. I merely show how we do it. I highly recommend to take your vehicle to a dealership to get done properly.

Hey jt i think this happen to me i have a 06 charger rt went to change master cylinder wich they gave me wrong part so i put the old one back put everything back together and went in car stuck my key in ignition and all i get is key flash and hook up scanner got code b1a28 ecm mismatch wit skim i check the actuator pin in the ignition lock to see if that broke tool it apart nothing broken on that and it does turn the ignition and now key light just flash and all the light come on

Can you help me. I have a 2006 Chrysler 300 that needs a Wcm module/screem. The Pcm is shutting down cutting off the fuel supply. Chrysler has informed me the part has been discontinued so I am unable to drive my car or have it fixed.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have a 2010 Compass with this type key. My remote lock/unlock does not work on 3 keys. Replaced batteries, same issue. But what I found is one of my fobs works IF THE IGNITION IS ON, but engine not running. (I can only find 2 of my keys right now so I don't know if the 3rd works or not this way). I am also not able to lock the car with the door switch unless I open and close the driver door, then lock, open the door and manually lock the driver door. Had it at the dealer and they worked on a intermittent start issue for 2 hrs ( about a 2-3 second delay for starter to kick in). They found corrosion on one of the coil pins of the main relay (which I had pretty much cleaned up previously along with the terminal. They replaced the relay ($80) and the start terminal of the starter (I replaced the starter a few months ago). They made a note on the invoice saying no 5v at ignition. I can't find a 5v line in the schematics ???? Any thoughts ?? ECM needing reprogramming (if that's even possible) ??

This type of failure should not be engineered into an off road vehicle, each generation of jeep is getting away from the ruggedness that you buy a jeep for.....now they are selling off road Fiats.....

Yup, spent about 4 nights testing almost everything possible in my dodge, couldn't find crap about any anti -theft stuff online so assumed it was my ignition switch originally. Finally just stumbled across an article about WCM failures today. The most confusing part was the starter relay was showing all the proper readings , and bench testing the relay itself proved it was functional. I hate all this unreliable tech they're loading vehicles up with. I feel bad for the new mechanics that are going to be dealing with 10 year old tablets that control everything in the vehicles coming out nowadays
Hey good vid I have a JK 2014 every once in a while I twist the key and nothing it just started doing this in the last month keep twisting the key and about the 3rd 4th 5th 6th time it will start. Battery is good. I saw a (No Start) TBS from Dodge on the WCM saying to pull IOD fuse (M13) for 30 sec and reset the WCM for some reason they are shorting out. Is this a trip to the dealer ship or is there scanner out there that will do this procedure if I replace it. Thanks man..
No click I did pull the IOD fuse for a few seconds to reset it and it fired right up so I'm sure its the Wcm now I guess its a trip to the dealer they are the only ones that can program it I guess. Yes I subscribed a while ago. Thnx for the answer.

Very strange...programming from a cell phone? Just out of curiosity, if that was a warranty repair, how is Chrysler paying technicians for scan tool time/programming if it is on a cell phone app??

I need some advice
We got a 2011 Dodge Charger 3.6 at the shop. It sucked water (air filter and hose are soaking wet) the car had to be jumpstarted but the starter won’t engage. Had to bypass the starter on the tipm. Relay is fine.we discovered the engine hydro locked.
Question how can I fix the starter issue? So I don’t have to bypass it on the fuse box
Hey bud, sorry to hear this. As for the starter, you have to find out whats missing at the starter relay. But the bigger question is, why is that a concern at this point. The engine locked up, the starter may be in fact stuck inside the flywheel, you never know. But when the engine rmoved (if thats the problem) the starter can be further looked at then.
Just wondering to see if u ever came across something like this. If you knew a quick fix regarding the starter issue
@@fordswgt9027 Naw, bud. You should be able to put 12 volts right at the relal pin 87 to see if the circuit complete. If it engage then you have problems on the input side
Seen it good learning experience. But the vehicle we have only gets power with a jump pack. And starter only tries to turn by jumping it on the fuse box. Do U think something else is faulty or the water from the flood damaged something?

If we decide to replace the engine would a 2016 3.6 from a Chrysler 300 work fine. Plug and play?

So corporate or independent auto shops cannot get this passcode from the Chrysler dealer for the Skim module🤔or is there a monthly subscription to Chrysler to be able to do this🤔
If they have the subscription they have the access. From what im hearing, the sub expensive. So most shops will send the cust to the dealer to get the code. Thats even if they able to perform the job.
