I’m really starting to believe after reading these comments that of all the HBCU marching bands, FAMU is the most delusional program of them all. Let them tell it they’ve never lost a battle like ever in life. Talk about blinded by arrogance. And FAMU better learn that the battle in the SWAC is more than just a damn halftime show. I’m also convinced that the order they practiced in the band hall is the exact same order they played their songs in. No adjustments at all and didn’t even try.

Love this one. Two programs slightly interwoven, but still their own band. Rolling with MMH on this one, but the Marching 100 had some musicianship.

Cant stand bama st as a AAMU alum, however i appreciate the fast uploads and quality video. Keep up the great work! Secondly i miss the old FAMU from the 90s an early 00's. I will say bama st does seem to get better each week. But i also miss some of their old selections like "lately", old alicia keys, rkelly, etc. But this gen yall keep it up!

I have to say. this is the most impressed, and unpredictable I've ever heard FAMU.. Not every song sound like a concert arrangement. And did my ears deceive me, or did Famu actually tried cranking. I can respect their classic way of playing. However, it's always good to have diversity in your music and style of playing.Especially against different bands. Without it, people start to view you as boring and predictable.
I love Famu but I really think that it's time for a change 🤔

Apparently, you must not have been there. FAMU, it is time to evolve with the time. Rattlers, I am sure the 5th quarter was not agreed for you guys to play those songs. In the SWAC, bands are known to be powerful and relatable to the audiences. As a former band member, FAMU sounds great, actually both. The clear 5th quarter winner is the MMH, and FAMU wins for concert band competition! Great Battle guys😂!

I think this was a good battle, I think both bands did wat they do best down to every detail of their respective style, not saying either were perfect but if 2 bands sound good then I give the win to the one with the best playlist or song selection, and ima be honest I think ASU had a better book between the 2 bands, the crowd really won that day from the entertainment. FAMU does not sound good as ppl continue to say. I am not speaking from a volume standpoint. I guess I don’t like the way the selection are written. Case in point their “Made For Me” gives high school arrangement. When do you begin to elevate your style?! You can be true to tradition and elevate your style as well. I think they are manipulated into thinking that whatever they do it is the best. IT IS NOT! YOU ARE BEING LIED TO… Look at the entire battle.

@@pbanks8407ify I don’t think @luvhin381 was referring to how the scholar musicians played it. They played what was written. It was the arrangement. At one point, I was wondering if they changed key. Then, I looked at the media team and my mind went other places, so I left it alone.

Famu ballad sounded better in dynamics then any ballad asu played not to mention you can hear the woodwinds in one band the other band might aswell be a brass marching band

I like FAMU 2, 4, and 6. I like ASU 1, 3, 5. If I had to pick a winner, I'd pick Bama State. FAM's fundamental sound is better, but the playing on rests is ridiculous. Niggas did it on 3 different tunes along with the march (Was cut out of this footage). Only reason it's tied round by round is because of how underwhelming ASU's last ballad was.

Wrong playbooks that be outdated and its aggravating. ... All of that band ... Wasteful. They really need to build MORRIS BROWN band back togther again. That band would give all of these bamds a run for the momey and size with an uodated playbook
I'm a Wildcat and BCU is a terrible 5th quarter band because of their outdated playbook. Hope Jackson State doesn't bring their band to our homecoming because we'll get slaughtered because of the old playbook. FAMU and BCU band directors need to make adjustments and update their playbook.
