Celebration Sunday "Vision for year 2"

In this message, we open our Bibles to Acts 6 and reflect on what it means to faithfully take part in building up the Church. As Ascend Bible Church enters its second year, we explore how biblical principles shape our leadership, ministry, and vision for the future.
Throughout the message, we focus on two key questions:
How does God structure His Church to meet both spiritual and practical needs?
What is your role in the mission to glorify God by making disciples?
The early church faced challenges as they grew-balancing preaching the Word with meeting real needs in their community. In Acts 6, we see a solution: raising up leaders to focus on ministry and equipping believers to serve. This model continues to guide us today as we seek to glorify God and serve our community.
As we enter Year Two:
Establish Local Eldership: We are praying for God to raise up shepherds who will faithfully lead in Word and prayer.
Formalize Church Membership: Our newly established elders will shape the membership process as we grow together.
Increase Outreach Efforts: With over 115,000 residents in our area, the love of Jesus compels us to minister to our neighbors and make disciples.
How can you take part?
Serve: Use your time, talents, and treasures to build up the body.
Spread the Gospel: Be intentional in sharing the good news of Jesus.
Pray: Join us in prayer for leaders, workers, and the lost in our community.
We believe that as we remain faithful to God's call, He will grow His Church and use us to reach those far from Him.
Prayer Time:
Praise God for His faithfulness in Ascend’s first year.
Ask God to raise up elders, leaders, and workers.
Pray that we would faithfully serve and love our community.
