great guide by the way im trying to follow this guide for the parrotOS installation but I couldn't get passed the partition section.
im looking to find a way to manually partition ParrotOS the same way but in the partition menu, it doesn't allow me to create a EFI partition there are different names for them.
could anyone help me pass this?
It's better on Mac to try Kali Linux.
@@kskroyaltech but I like the ParrotOS tools More 🥹
Have you had a chance to fix issue with suffering from Sleep/Wake?
I tried but no proper drivers yet.
Help me please! I installed Ubuntu on my 2009 Mac and it shows 4 windows at once on the monitor and the same thing is mirrored everywhere. How to make one desktop, and not 4 at the same time?
Hello Ksk Royal.
Thank you for this video very helpfull.
It worsks on a MacBook7,2 and Ubuntu-22.04.
BUT
What is the purpose of the new parition EFI?
Today i tried to add another LinuxOS on my MacBook7,2 and I checked my EFI linux...
BUT
There is nothing on it...
All datas to grub boot are on EFI for mac...
there there is 3 folders:
/boot/efi/EFI/APPLE
/boot/efi/EFI/ubuntu
/boot/efi/EFI/BOOT
/boot/efi/EFI/ubuntu/grub.conf is very tiny and I didnt found the way to disable grub restriction for probe.os
Thank you for your explanations...
I was installing linux mint using a different tutorial and I partitioned the mac HDD as APFS and now Linux cant show APFS volume in boot options, Now I can't boot back into macos. Have any solution for that?
When partitioning you partitioned the drive as MsDos(fat) that's getting identified and showed in boot options in linux , great.
But I can i make linux show APFS volume ?
Is it a must to have a bootable drive during the installation?
Yes without the usage of bootable drive you cannot install ubuntu on bare metal hardware.
@@kskroyaltech thanks
is there any way to remove the partition? I'm trying to dual boot windows and MacOS but I want some space freed up
see this video: ruclips.net/video/74I_8Oy4PHM/видео.html
Will you make the one with external ssd?
Testing bro, currently Rufus is having an issues.
in ubuntu partition you need to change mount to /
My MacBook Pro 2019 intel refused to run Linux mint successfully! Any ideals?
Linux Mint is Buggy on MACS, try Fedora or Ubuntu.
Note since you are using, 2019 MacBook you may end up facing an issues in regards to keyboard and touch pad.. It may not work during the installation, use USB mouse & keyboard.
Then google or search on GitHub for touchpad and keyboard drivers and install it.
@@kskroyaltech yeah you are right! I was able to remove the security and was able to run fedora and mint but like you said my touchpad and keyboard stopped working!
Hey man! I was able to bott Ubuntu all thanks to you. But my trackpad and keyboard aren't doing anything. Any ideas on how to deal with that?
Would you mind If I tell You to check GitHub repos , I cannot tell specific driver to install. It depends on the model. For your reference see this repo: github.com/Dunedan/mbp-2016-linux#keyboard--touchpad
Awesome thank you very much @kskroyaltech
i did the same but now i cannot see ubuntu on the GRUB, (where you hold the option key during reboot). I've installed everything as instructed in the video. Could somebody pls help
Neither can I. It’s installed but I can only access Mac lol
The same
Did anyone figure out the solution? only macos shows up but on diskutil I can see the Linux partitions
i see no EFI partition option when installing on my old macbbok pro... what should i do ?

I lost wifi connection during the partition, and it says partition failed something like that, what should I do ??
force restart the Mac ,and try again.
Confused by the USB part. Do I need an actual usb drive to store the Linux program on? Very new to this...
Pen Drive is the preferred One. It's like loading linux installer into Pen drive and transferring it to the internal drive on the computer.
@@kskroyaltech Thank u. I only have access to a USB be with 32gb storage capacity at the moment. Of note, I only have about 30GB available to partition on my Mac. Do you think it would still make sense to try to do this? Or would the limited free storage across the two operating systems make my computer exceedingly slow?
Mac doesn't care about how many operating systems you run.
yep 30GB is fine no props.
@@kskroyaltech I now have 57 GB free. So, wish we luck as I try to do this...
i did this because my mac was software bricked by the previous owner. i would like to remove ubuntu and get some sort of macos back onto my imac. is that possible?
How do I make a bootable drive for Macbook Air? Are there USB-C Flash Drives?
Plugin Your USB penDrive to USB 2 port and use etcher to make a bootable Drive.
Does this work for macos open core legacy patcher ? Or otherwise hackintosh
My mouse and keyboard are not recognised when I'm at 6:30 neither my wifi is detected
Did u try connecting wired or wireless USB mouse / keyboard ?!
I was able to connect with wired mouse and keyboard for installation, but what to do after it? I mean I’m not able to connect to wifi as well, I think drivers are missing
i have a broken display and using monitors i cant see anything when installing is there workaround? or is there a way to make my mac think the built in display does not exist anymore?
Did u try connecting your Mac to monitor ?
Plug in a keyboard and mouse and plug it to power and monitor and close the lid
@@gachigabe5895 I do that but it only works in macos and bootcamp does not show even when lid closed or when booting from anything else but macos or The firmware recovery I’m using a dell dock
@@gachigabe5895 yeah monitors don’t show it’s “No DP input” unless it’s reconvert firmware or the os I just really want ubuntuw and boot camp
Thanks ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hello, Thanks for your video. But i get my trackpad and keyboard unresponsive after Ubuntu loading! I can not complete the Ubuntu setup. Any fix for this problem? mac 15" 2018. Ubuntu20.04
I understand the problem, Mac with T2 ship has some issues. Do one thing, if you have bluetooth keyboard / mouse connect it to Mac to see if that helps. If it works install ubuntu .
Then try this driver - github.com/roadrunner2/macbook12-spi-driver
@@kskroyaltechFirst, would like to thank you Soooooo much for this video, I have been trying to install ubuntu on my intel mac for about 10 days and have watched a lot of videos but all gave a GRub error., I have managed to connect the external keyboard and mouse and all worked just fine EXCEPT the most important thing. WIFI :( I looked around a lot and could not find a fix. MY mac Is a Macbookpro 2018 A1990 and I have checked oireg -l | grep requested files and i think I have Broadcom c-4364. Any ideas on how can install the wifi drive without an Ethernet connection? thanks in advance.
Does not work for Macbook Air Retina 2020 Intel
Because of the T2 chip, no linux kernel I tried supports it, latest I tried is Ubuntu 24 LTS. There's a slim chance something like Debian Unstable build (aka beta) might work. Or so I heard on a reddit thread when trying to get any drivers at all to work.
Thanks for the video though :D
T2 Chip is scary.
After i select start up security utility the only option i get is to turn on firmware passowrd how do i reach the strtup security screen?
NO need to worry just follow the tutorial straight up .
Thanks a lot for this video 🎉
After successful installation, my touchpad ,keyboard, speaker ,Bluetooth and Wi-Fi cannot be used. Do you know what the problem is? Can you help me?😢
For some reason when I boot I cannot seem to move my mouse or keyboard doesn't function, I am using MacBook Air (intel). I get to screen where it says welcome and to install ubuntu but then I can't move my mouse. Any suggestion
Use mouse and Keyboard to install ubuntu. After the installation your keyboard and mouse will work.
Make sure while installing Ubuntu you need to tick the two options that says download updates while installing (REQUIRES INTERNET) and install drivers.
@@kskroyaltech will it always boot ubuntu first? is there a way to priotize mac os ?
