as a Lakers fan, yes, of course I want the Nuggets to saddle themselves with Zach and his contract because he will eventually be injured again and then they will be totally screwed 😄
Um Scorer? That's maybe 5th or 6th on the list of what they need Lakers need rebounding defense and speed in that order Try to pay attn to something besides ppg.
Nuggets also don't really have draft capital... So getting CJ and DFS from the nets for porter and a second rounder would be a complete Failure from the nets front office 😂 Nuggets basically have limited choices in trading MPJ for a lateral move like Lavine( which would permanently strap them financially for the next few seasons) or not trading and relying on internal improvement from Jamal and role players. Maybe they can make like a marginal move in trading Wattson+ unplayable Naji for like a Dayron sharp and another small salary role player 😂
@@seds94 Lavine is playing better than MPJ at the moment this season, but you gotta weigh in the fact of who is the #1 option on the bulls, and who is the #1 option on the nuggets? Mpj is putting up his production as the 3rd option on most nights, right? And the nuggets have been struggling defensively as well as when Jokic is not on the floor. Lavine addresses issues like needing another creator or another guy that can create for others when Jamal is having an awful game, but it doesn't address their defensive concerns. That's why I think it's a lateral move. They'll slightly improve in ppg, but not improve on defense(not that Porter was helping a ton on that end anyways) and they might lose some rebounding.
@@berserkmonk5331perfect assessment. As a Nuggets fan, I don’t like the contract and how much Zach gets injured. Rather not trade MPJ or trade for Cam Johnson and DFS.
I think they got a shot at trading for Markkanen if they include Gordon and Saric with Porter. Contracts would match if you do Markkanen with Clarkson. Maybe add a 2nd round pick. Even if they trade Strawther instead of Saric it would still be worth it. But let’s say they could pull it off, your bench will still consist of Clarkson, Braun, Strawther, Jordan, and Tyson, that’s better than what you got now, you got a 15ppg player off the bench and they really need that. Your starters would be Murray, Westbrook, Watson, Markkanen and Jokic. That would be ridiculously good offense and defense. Watson and Westbrook would be great for defense, Watson shoots the three better than Gordon, Markkanen more efficient than Porter and taller and better defensively and better rebounder. Jokic and Markkanen would be two 7 foot towers, great for rebounding and applying pressure. Westbrook and Murray are two great playmakers. Clarkson and Murray are both good shot creators, you got a a more dynamic team.
What if the Nuggets were willing to add one of their young players like Christian Braun, Peyton Watson or Julian Strawther (all 22 or 23 years old!) In exchange for Zach LaVine and Jalen Smith! Jalen Smith would solve their backup 5 problem, be able to slide into the 4 with Jokic and Aaron Gordon moves to the 3. It would give them tough defensive versatility to go along with Zach LaVine! Bulls wouldn't want to give up on Smith who's only 24 but how bad do you want to get off that LaVine contract? What if they gave the Bulls a versatile young defender like Christian Braun who's averaging 15ppg on 50-40 shooting. Nuggets would never be able to extend Christian Braun anyway after next season because he'll get something like $15-20m a year and they can't pay that - especially if they have Zach LaVine being paid $50m a year and Christian coming off the bench as their 7th man.
How many of these do Trevor and Donnie do per day? Lol Anyway, the Lakers should try to get Collin Sexton - he's a lot more affordable than LaVine and also 3 years younger and more of a team player.
We do as many as there are, These beat writes and reporters constantly put out new info. We arent speculating out of thin air or anything lol Sorry if it seems like theres too much.
They don’t need a Zach LaVine type player. Their shot creation is fine. They have the best shot creator in the entire league and a decent secondary guy in Murray. They need defense and volume 3P shooting. Aka KCP.
They definitely need offense , especially when Jamal is having an off game, they just need to sign another tall defender along with levine ideally dosonmu
@@TheBasketballBulletin they’re 6th in offense and have a 120 offensive rating with Jokic on the floor. The only thing holding their offense back is that they’re 30th in 3PA. @ and you’re forgetting that teams make stupid decisions all the time. Just because the Lakers decided to trade for Russell Westbrook doesn’t mean that they needed Russell Westbrook.
The Nuggets bench has been absolutely horrible and Jokić doesn’t have a proper back up at the five. Now the benches had a couple of good outings, but that’s it. You look at it statistically and our bench is the worst in the NBA look at some of the stats with Jokić on the court and off the court and that’ll tell you how bad they are. Calvin boost has painted us into a corner. Should’ve never given Murray the max when you had them for another year same goes with MPJ make them earn it. I don’t know if Murray ever gonna bounce back. Terrible idea. Turn a couple young bucks and Saric or Nnaji into some bench guys or send out Mike for Cam Johnson and Dorian Finney-Smith

That won't happen until they beat us, though. Then they will fall apart after.😂
Lavine could turn them back into chip contenders this season.
Yes, but the Nuggets need to include Nnaji and get back another guy for the rotation. Add Saric and maybe get Craig and Horton-Tucker?
Lavine and dosonmu would be ideal for Denver
Get Zion, Ingram and Trae while you're at it. Bron and Bronny too if you like
I would love to see Denver go after LaVine
It would mean they have given up on being a serious contender
I like the Lakers picking up Fultz. He gives them another good scorer

Get Bogan, Hunter, Daniels, Okungwu for MPJ, Braun, Zeke, Saric, and two seconds.
