Love it! I have the same exact conversations every day, it was like watching myself. My Spanish is a little rougher, but the crews get a good laugh when I try. ; ) I also renovate in KC.
what do you make on a 25k house in the ghetto? 700$ rent/mo? figure you put 35 into it youre in the house for 60k~ ish ROI in 7 years? you can pull equity out as soon as its finished, unless...you used a construction loan? do they do loans that small??
I live in KC and my home is in a high crime area off of Prospect, and honestly the inner city may not be the best, but I saw the potential in the neighborhood, and I'm not intimidated by the people. I sit on my porch and talk to them as if they are human beings. Don't get me wrong, I want to stop hearing gun shots. However, I trust them more than fake people in surrouding areas in Lee's Summit and etc. I renovated my house a few years ago and made it home. My children received a superb education from Académie Lafayette, which is one of the best charter schools in the city. It's sad that I can drive 3-5 minutes from my home and be by houses worth 600k(pre sellers market). So, we just gonna just build up an area based on imaginary fault line. Ridiculous! I'm actually tired of realtors contacting me to do exactly what this contractor is doing, flipping it then selling it for bigger dollars or renting it out. What about the government giving grants for people to renovate their dilapidated homes, so people can remain in their homes since "people" don't want to live in the inner city. If you want to make a difference move in the area and make a change. KC is more cultural than other cities like Omaha, which makes a city successful in my opinion. Crime is everywhere, there's just different crime.
I live in the KC metro and had my own house flipped on the Kansas side before the pandemic. I am very invested in flipping properties in KCMO. I love those style houses around the downtown area and would love to see them all get the facelifts they deserve, especially now that KC is becoming a more prominent city. How do I get into flipping secondary properties? 😩
Troy are you *EVER* hiring remote workers? I’d just like to know. I am a closer in the day time (closed $5 million in business last year for my resort), and in the evening and early morning I’m just a roaming 🦈. But the whole reason why I’m asking is I’m at 2 doors now and my wife only works part time. I’m looking to 10X my income and provide for our family of 5.
@@levernarethomas2505 I am not. I did some traveling construction jobs there when I was on the road, but it is such crap there I won’t even go for pay anymore.
I wouldn't pay 50.0000 for house because your in the worst crime area of kc with already 50 homicide around there. Drug dealers sit all around there right out in the open selling
Great more over priced rentals in crap neighborhoods .. Yall stop no one in kc will pay that to live in those areas . guys drive the area at night be you rent it!!!!!! If you arent familiar with the area. Also if it has bars on windows or ac is caged heres your sign

You can get cheap houses their because KC is a crap hole. I am sure it is even worse now than it was the last time I did a job there.
If Kansas City a crap hole why are you investing here ?
