En la introducción se ve que es de 3 amp. Y recomienda un foco de 15 watts max. Lo que yo haría es verificar la corriente de ambos lados del circuito y la temperatura disipada por el transistor. No excediendo la corriente máxima del transistor, ni la del transformador.
