    Just put my kit together, set the limits on the servo, tested it before installed it, tested after I installed it, then when I attached the cage to the lower chassis it stopped working. Maybe I had the voltage at 7.4. No real idea what happened. I installed that same Savox in a small car of mine and it stopped working. Maybe I had that ESC/BEC set to 7.4 instead of 6.0. I bought a Vader skid that has attachments for a full size servo, maybe that will work. I’ll check back if it does. Thanks for the video.

    I tried using the spectrum once more but it stopped working after three days. So I'm going to try the savox micro servo.

      Just make sure you set your limits correctly and it works really well!

    I bought my Capra a couple weeks ago. The dig servo didn't last even 30 minutes. I hadn't even gone thru my first charge (3600). Was super stressed as this was my first RC car and not very cheap. Thankfully my local hobbyshop fixed it no problem - seems to be working better than new, now. I dunno what they put in - haven't bothered or needed to crack it open, yet. Did I get a lemon?

      My understanding is most people have problems with the stock dig servo. Axial should have fixed this before they released it but they didn't.

    Just had mine burn out on maybe the 2nd or 3rd prolonged use (of the car, hardly have even engaged dig.)
    If I'm not planning to run the dig feature anyway can I just disconnect and run as is in 4WD?

      I belive you can permanently remove the dig feature but if you fix it, it's very useful in technical crawling. I use dig quite a bit.

    I put in a brand new servo into my Capra but it only turns left was it my servo or would it be something else ?

    Quick question, I picked up this same servo for my dig unit and without a servo horn on it just resting under power it’s making a ton of noise. Is there some setting on my flysky gt5 that could possibly fix this

    • @rccrawling7282
      @rccrawling7282  2 года назад

      Have you tried setting end points with it out of the vehicle, not installed? If it's making a noise without being at one of it's limits that seems odd. I never had that problem with mine.

    • @ZX_Kev_R

      I have, it will make a ton of noise not even in my truck. I didn’t know if there was like a voltage setting or something

    Hi my compliments for your video! My DIG on Capra doesn't work so I am asking you help!! When DIG is engage the rear axle is free and it isn't lock!! The wheels are free...I followed the manual istructions bu now I have a suspect about it! So what do you tink about this problem?? Thank you in advance! I have on my Capra your same servo but my model is SH-0255MG and in any case it work!

    • @rccrawling7282
      @rccrawling7282  2 года назад +1

      Technically you could set it up so that you have 4wd, free rear and locked rear. I have mine setup for only 4wd and locked rear. It sounds like you need to adjust your servo endpoint further to the rear so that it will engage the dig, locking your rear tires.

    On the flysky are you using the chan 3 button of chan 4 3 positio. Switch and do you only have dig on and off not freewheel as well ?

    • @rccrawling7282
      @rccrawling7282  2 года назад +1

      I'm using the channel 3 position on the grip. I only want the dig on and off. I don't care about the freewheel. I'm sure you could set it up that way though.

    Did you try using the Spektrum servo without the servo saver? My dig is also very hit and miss and I'm also using the Spektrum micro servo

    • @rccrawling7282
      @rccrawling7282  3 года назад +1

      I never got the chance. After one battery pack it never worked correctly. Basically it burned up in one battery pack which according to the hobby shop isn't unusual. It started to have a jerking motion even though I set it up correctly including the end points. I've ran five battery packs on the new Savox servo so far and it's awesome! No issues at all!

    • @BoggTRD
      @BoggTRD 3 года назад +1

      @@rccrawling7282 yeah, I've heard most have had issues with this servo. That sucks you didn't even get one battery pack out of it. Mine is over a year old now. Strange thing for me, mine works perfectly fine on flat ground. I even have mine setup on a 3 position switch; 4WD, FWD with rear locked and FWD with rear in neutral. As soon as the buggy is any sort of incline or decline, it's a gamble whether it'll work or not...haha. More times then not, it doesn't. Or like you said, will have to backup a bit to get it to disengage. Maybe I'll try and delete the servo saver. If it still doesn't work, I'll be following your route 👍

    Let's blame Horizon hobbies, thay have tried to take over. I'd love a savox, just cat afford on disability. Is dig valuable enough for the purchase? I dont't know how good Axial was before being bought, but i can confidently say the capra kit is just terrible. Many parts needed in bags opened much later in the build. Nobody knows if the manual has been updated from original problems. Rims are garbage, can't fit any of 3 tires i have without longer screws. Theres a good reason i have stuck with traxxas. Much better engineering all around. Forgive me, i'm done ranting

    • @rccrawling7282
      @rccrawling7282  Год назад +1

      I do like the Capra but I do prefer my TRX4. I use dig enough that it was well worth the $35 for the servo to fix the dig function. I do agree with you that out of the box, Traxxas has better components. I have highly modified both crawlers so all of the garbage parts are no longer on either vehicle.

      @@rccrawling7282 what really turned me against Axial was their fest wouldn't allow other brands. Still, i gave in on what is supposed to be a pure crawler. Second guessing that waaay over priced decision now. Thanks again friend
