This takes me back to my summer of all summers I was 21 years old had a very bad couple of years before that, I survived a traumatic spinal injury, fractured my neck in four places, priest read me my last rites! pulled through that! had a lot of therapy, lost my dog, lost my girlfriend.
[her parents] who she pulled me through the accident , then my Dad dealing with lung cancer, he pulled through. I was cooked!! One morning I got up look at my mom and said I have to get away for the summer! She understood so all by myself I climbed in my 1972 Chevell Elcamino 4 speed that a buddy and me had just built the motor and tranny and stuffed it all back in under the hood and I headed for the Jersey Shore alone! with $600.00 dollars in my pocket. What a sense of freedom! I had never felt before or ever since!
It was the summer for healing and heal that I did! The Ocean has away of doing that for you,

What’s weird is, I discovered this channel about 4 weeks ago. I’m currently doing my exams and I’m not the type of guy to get stressed, but these exams determine whether I get into university. But watching these videos has calmed me down and weirdly, as I said, I genuinely sat downstairs eating the other day and actually missed watching you when I hadn’t in quite a few days. I’m 18, and I hope I have a life like you.

You should come to Cook Forest in Pennsylvania!! It’s a beautiful place that is secluded and has amazing hiking trails, my favorite is the one going towards the fire tower that leads you to a huge rock that overlooks a large part of the forest. And they have lots of adorable cabins!
They just keep getting better and better, already wanting to go back to the Cape again soon!

I have served in the Marines and used to be a high risk advisor for BBC World News and after a decade of working in the depressing and dark world of wars and conflict newsgathering, I left it all and became an adventure traveler, photographer and guide. I've just started a project that takes existing Shepherds Huts in the northern mountains of Pakistan and convert them into off-grid self sustainable cabins.
