I'd imagine a higher, softer pitch. --- She was deeply inlove with the man who she believed saved her, respected and admired him with the highest of regards a person could and clutched on to the hopes that one day he may love her too. As clingy, delusional and irrational as she was her intentions and loyalty to Light couldn't be faulted. He used that knowledge to his advantage, despised and hated everything about her, strung her along and played her as just another pawn. He feared what she could do if he made what he truly thought of her clear ...and to some degree I'm sure Misa was aware of this, but still continued to do as she was asked because of how deep her love for him ran. It's a tragedy really.
Queen He didn’t hate her because in the manga when he see her for the first time he said « I can’t developp feelings, that’s how most idiots screw up ». And he was the only one who truly care about her when she wanted to help them with the 3nd Kira
I will always hate Misa but this song really shows her perspective. I love the fact that Light is an allegory for God and this is a love song for Light but you can analyze it in an overall context as a song meant for finding God and in it, themselves. Also it is a beautiful melody sung by a beautiful voice!!
This song is pretty sad if you see it as a traumatized girl singing to her abuser. I say abuser because Light is straight up manipulating and taking advantage of her. I acknowledge they both are pretty messed up. But Light is on another level. Who knows what he would have done to get rid of Misa once he no longer needed her. 😭

And I realize this comment is old so I'm not sure if you've been able to see the musical, but from what I've seen they've maintained it one-sided and he DEFINITELY is only using her still. They've managed to keep the integrity of the story in a very great fashion!
I agree with sobzer, it seems like Adrienne Warren's voice is too mature and has more power to it than what I expect Misa's voice to sound like. Not that her voice isn't good, goodness no, she's amazing, but I think the japanese and korean singers got her voice right - they kinda have a softer edge to the song, know what I mean?
Tbh, i find her love is what we call "blind" love here. Light is great as to admire an ideal/madness, no doubt but as a person to love...i am pretty he is a very bad choice.

It's the best Death Note Adaptation of all in my opinion, better than Death Note the movie from both Japan and Netflix.
