I see it happen. A friend of mine, when he was 18 and living with his mom, was handed papers by his mom for a lease on a duplex. Him being only 18, and not understanding what his mom was handing to him, just signed it. I mean it was his mom, why would he distrust her? Turns out they defaulted on the place and she put the lease under his name because he had clean credit. So he was on the hook for all of the debt. Very sad.
