I love it. The freedom of knowing all these perspectives is like gods work in my eyes. Life changing maybe im being too extra but thats just how i feel. Helps with awareness on these issues and topics
Being a recipient of a kidney from my daughter this hits home. I had it done at a major hospital in Philly that you know I had to sign papers as did my daughter saying we weren’t paying for the kidney or being forced to pay etc. Turns out the hospital is one of the biggest dealers of black market organs in the area. A dead body is worth a lot more then one alive.
This was a great discussion. Even though we all think this could never happen to us, it's important to raise awareness, try to prevent it from happening to others and prosecuting those responsible for these acts it's really cool watching you do these interviews and refine your craft. You are becoming a master of conversation. Keep up the hard work. You consistently deliver important factual information that we might not ever have gained via traditional media platforms.
I think the organ thing goes like this. A hospital representative calls and says "hey we have an organ for you and you're next on the list!" Family says, "oh no, he got one last month!" Hospital person goes "oh good!" and goes on to the next name, assuming someone, somewhere forgot to update the list, which probably happens ALL. THE. TIME. I bet they call people regularly and find out they're already dead, for example, and nobody updated the list. I'm guessing they just move on. I think just because there is a list, doesn't mean people are doing well at updating it. Medical mistakes are way too common, for that to surprise me.

Thank you for the great episodes, September 1st of this year I lost my dog of 14 years when she recently got sick one night and its one of the hardest times of my life... she was like my daughter and she was my shadow that followed me everywhere, even if i was just going to the next room to use the bathroom. I don't know how it feels to loose a child but I can imagine it feels something like what I am going through. I've lost a lot of friends lately because of the street life and fentanyl overdoses but this pain is almost worse. I like to think the way she died was one of the best case scenarios since it was due to old age and her organs shutting down from old age. I miss you *Mindy* and you will be with me forever till the day I die and I know your spirit is with me looking out for me like a guardian angel dog! Your videos have been helping me keep my mind off it, as I am going through and binge watching all your episodes ❤💪💯

I know they built a casino between China Laos and Thailand that was abandoned sometime ago. The people who were gambling were approached by these traffickers giving them money to gamble but promising their organs in turn for the money. Many of these ppl were found without organs hanging in the nearby towns. Such a dark twisted situation.

Did the doc The Unexpected, and Unexpected Redemption is coming out, as well as a film about him called Transform. Child trafficking is almost unreal in its scope. It's a lense to the power and ubiquity of evil in our world. And the movement against it is exactly the opposite! Worth watching, this podcast, props to Julian.
I saw a mother walking her dog and child at a local park the other day. And then I saw a guy walking behind her video her. I chased him. And finally caught him. He deleted the vid and pics in front of me. It happens all over. Head on a swivel. 🤷🏼♂️
It's so important to protect our kids from and educate them about the dangers of social media, In South Korea there was a case of this guy who would catfish girls for nudes, then use the nudes to blackmail them into sending more extreme material and the guy If I remember correctly sold it on the dark web, I'm talking evil shit like getting her to put pins inside her and shit like that, all from one picture. Teach your kids that not everyone in the world is good, some are even evil
You know what's crazy I recently found out about? There's a whole azz black market for Lego...complete with gangs that raid delivery trucks and everything.
What gets me is, how the hell do they find a surgeon to do an organ transplant under very fishy circumstances? Ive worked in medicine for 28 years. We have utilization committees, peer review, all these hoops you have to jump thru to get anything done. Risk managers. Third party pre-op physical exam. You have to get an anesthesiologist and a whole operating staff to show up. Operating room, recovery nurse, post op care staff. You can't get away with anything where i work, which is the way it should be I guess...
I always just listen to the audio while I'm working on spotify. This is the first time I've seen Julian without the hat 😂. Amazing podcast though always great from start to finish and always intriguing guests 👍
To the point of the probable cause conversation. I work at a general aviation airport and one of the common flights we get in flies in surgery teams to perform organ harvesting as well as transplants. When it's a harvest they can be anywhere 20 mins to several hours. They wait for the person to die and if they can successfully harvest the organ it's gonna be a while but sometimes the organ is not harvestable and they come right back. They usually are short notice and have to happen very quickly. Typically it's like a team of intern aged doctors and are friendly and normal. However there has been at least one specific time I can remember when someone by themselves in a blacked out town car came in, he had long stringy greasy black hair, a leather jacket and big scar down his face, he gave me extremely weird vibes to say the least. He didn't get out, he didn't say anything, he just opened the trunk and I moved a cooler with a harvested organ to the plane. I know this is long but my point is that Organ transplants are very complicated medical procedures and often are not successful either during the harvesting or post surgery the organ doesn't take and as a result I would imagine a large portion of the available organs go to waste in one way or another. And honestly, I would not be the least bit surprised to learn that our own medical system in one way or another is knowingly involved in the purchasing or somehow supporting the black market, particularly in the case of maybe a tough case like a child needing a organ that's unavailable through the legal system. Hence why they would not want to put significant effort into looking into the issue of patients going off the 'list".
My father-in-law is originally from the Philippines. A few years back he had a baby with a lady in the Philippines. He came back to America and the lady kept the baby. When the child was around the age of 3, my father-in-law flew back to the Philippines because he caught word that the mother was going to sell the child. He paid her $250 for her to turn the child over to him. She is now 8 and lives with him here in America.
As shocking as it is (and believe me it should be) I actually remember this happening locally here in Florida. They picked the kid up in an ambulance (I say kid but he actually was 26 years old and a good friend of ours) he was drunk. The next day nobody seen him and it continued like that for over 3 weeks. (All of the locals we're looking for him and concerned) then they found him out in the woods dead organs harvested. Has to be one of the most despicable things I could ever imagine. I'm glad I'm not God...

What frustrates me with human trafficking is all the forms, as they say...the things they call human trafficking that's actually consenting adults doing what they've done in the hood since the day before forever.

Firstly let me say. in America, due to HIPPA you cannot ask why a person may want to be off the list. Secondly people get moved off the list for the a multitude of reasons all the time, for example if you develop an autoimmune disease or you test positive for COVID, or you simply have the flu and you're off the list or at least moved down on the list. Also, keep in mind kidneys are completely different than all other organs when it comes to donation. Kidney One handles all the kidneys in America and all other organs are handled by Gift of Life and that is because you can have a live donor for a kidney which moves you to the top of the list. When my father needed a kidney he had a live donor (a family member) so that moved him to the top of the list to have surgery however the transplant team advised him in the very beginning that he shouldn't worry about getting a kidney due to the massive amounts of Opioid overdoses in America and opiates don't affect the kidneys. How sick is that??
Also please ask your guest to make his own “cheat sheet reference guide” so the story can move more coherently. I often see notices on the back/inside of bathrooms stalls saying, “if you feel unsafe with the person you are living CALL - - - - -

Back in 2007 when I was 20 I went to Ottawa on a trip with my gf at the time (we’re Canadian) and upon arriving at Parliament Hill (our White House so to speak) we were greeted by a MASSIVE “protest” poster held by numerous Chinese individuals that explained everything that you are talking about here in this episode. My ex while we were dating went down to Florida to visit his family. And basically got extorted for 300 dollars because someone was using stolen nudes from one chick, using that to gain access to his Facebook and instagram followers and then threatened to tell everyone. I found out three months later and yeah, I wish it would’ve been more. But that’s so tragic that kid took his life he had his whole life ahead of him.
I remember this girl who was a grade under me (I was in 10th grade ) that on her way to school someone tried to snatch her off the side walk and pull her into a white stereotypical van…this was in Sacramento near the fabulous 40s and if yk where that is yk that’s a RICH neighborhood with a lot of generational wealth near the Trader Joe’s but yea it was insane because they tried to do it even in that part of town where u think nothing like that would happen

54:16 well, this would actually be incredibly easy as these organs need constant surveillance for life to prevent rejection. Any doctor taking care of the patient would need to know (or at the very least ask) where the organ came from.

In South Korea there was a case of this guy who would catfish girls for nudes, then use the nudes to blackmail them into sending more extreme material and the guy If I remember correctly sold it on the dark web,

What gets me is, how the hell do they find a surgeon to do an organ transplant under very fishy circumstances? Ive worked in medicine for 28 years. We have utilization committees, peer review, all these hoops you have to jump thru to get anything done. Risk managers. Third party pre-op physical exam. You have to get an anesthesiologist and a whole operating staff to show up. Operating room, recovery nurse, post op care staff. You can't get away with anything where i work, which is the way it should be I guess...
I always just listen to the audio while I'm working on spotify. This is the first time I've seen Julian without the hat 😂. Amazing podcast though always great from start to finish and always intriguing guests 👍

To the point of the probable cause conversation.
I work at a general aviation airport and one of the common flights we get in flies in surgery teams to perform organ harvesting as well as transplants. When it's a harvest they can be anywhere 20 mins to several hours. They wait for the person to die and if they can successfully harvest the organ it's gonna be a while but sometimes the organ is not harvestable and they come right back. They usually are short notice and have to happen very quickly. Typically it's like a team of intern aged doctors and are friendly and normal. However there has been at least one specific time I can remember when someone by themselves in a blacked out town car came in, he had long stringy greasy black hair, a leather jacket and big scar down his face, he gave me extremely weird vibes to say the least. He didn't get out, he didn't say anything, he just opened the trunk and I moved a cooler with a harvested organ to the plane.
I know this is long but my point is that Organ transplants are very complicated medical procedures and often are not successful either during the harvesting or post surgery the organ doesn't take and as a result I would imagine a large portion of the available organs go to waste in one way or another. And honestly, I would not be the least bit surprised to learn that our own medical system in one way or another is knowingly involved in the purchasing or somehow supporting the black market, particularly in the case of maybe a tough case like a child needing a organ that's unavailable through the legal system. Hence why they would not want to put significant effort into looking into the issue of patients going off the 'list".

My father-in-law is originally from the Philippines. A few years back he had a baby with a lady in the Philippines. He came back to America and the lady kept the baby. When the child was around the age of 3, my father-in-law flew back to the Philippines because he caught word that the mother was going to sell the child. He paid her $250 for her to turn the child over to him. She is now 8 and lives with him here in America.

As shocking as it is (and believe me it should be) I actually remember this happening locally here in Florida. They picked the kid up in an ambulance (I say kid but he actually was 26 years old and a good friend of ours) he was drunk. The next day nobody seen him and it continued like that for over 3 weeks. (All of the locals we're looking for him and concerned) then they found him out in the woods dead organs harvested. Has to be one of the most despicable things I could ever imagine. I'm glad I'm not God...

Firstly let me say. in America, due to HIPPA you cannot ask why a person may want to be off the list. Secondly people get moved off the list for the a multitude of reasons all the time, for example if you develop an autoimmune disease or you test positive for COVID, or you simply have the flu and you're off the list or at least moved down on the list. Also, keep in mind kidneys are completely different than all other organs when it comes to donation. Kidney One handles all the kidneys in America and all other organs are handled by Gift of Life and that is because you can have a live donor for a kidney which moves you to the top of the list. When my father needed a kidney he had a live donor (a family member) so that moved him to the top of the list to have surgery however the transplant team advised him in the very beginning that he shouldn't worry about getting a kidney due to the massive amounts of Opioid overdoses in America and opiates don't affect the kidneys. How sick is that??
The opening story about the kidney is a little too similar to those fake stories youd hear from friends or read in chain emails.

Back in 2007 when I was 20 I went to Ottawa on a trip with my gf at the time (we’re Canadian) and upon arriving at Parliament Hill (our White House so to speak) we were greeted by a MASSIVE “protest” poster held by numerous Chinese individuals that explained everything that you are talking about here in this episode. I looked at all the pictures, took a pamphlet, but ultimately that was the first and only time I had ever heard of “Organ Harvesting” up until that point in my life but obviously is/should be in everyone’s awareness now I feel like… but maybe not. 49:49

I remember accidentally watching a video ON FACEBOOK where a girl was chopped up like an animal for organ harvesting
My ex while we were dating went down to Florida to visit his family. And basically got extorted for 300 dollars because someone was using stolen nudes from one chick, using that to gain access to his Facebook and instagram followers and then threatened to tell everyone.
I found out three months later and yeah, I wish it would’ve been more.
But that’s so tragic that kid took his life he had his whole life ahead of him.

I remember this girl who was a grade under me (I was in 10th grade ) that on her way to school someone tried to snatch her off the side walk and pull her into a white stereotypical van…this was in Sacramento near the fabulous 40s and if yk where that is yk that’s a RICH neighborhood with a lot of generational wealth near the Trader Joe’s but yea it was insane because they tried to do it even in that part of town where u think nothing like that would happen

54:16 well, this would actually be incredibly easy as these organs need constant surveillance for life to prevent rejection. Any doctor taking care of the patient would need to know (or at the very least ask) where the organ came from.
