A Broken Bilge Pump and Cruising Through the Bahamas. E50

- Can you believe that this is episode #50? My, how time flies. In this episode, we have an epic sail from Long Island to Georgetown, Exumas, Bahamas. We were sailing 9.5 knots! I caught and filleted a 36" Mahi, and Jeff got to clean up the mess.
Our small Leopard flotilla sailed from Georgetown to Boise Cay (I accidentally said Rat Cay in the video) to see the best blow hole in The Bahamas, followed by some relaxing beach time at Lee Stocking Island.
Back on Long Island, the Aurora and Kailua contingents rode bikes and scooters all over the north end, visiting the Columbus Monument and the Busted Bridge Restaurant. Unfortunately, it was closed. But we all enjoyed the ride, including the 4-legged friends. And listen for "Can We Go" by Nevertel. It's our son's band. We're very proud of them. Check them out via the link below.
Our Vessel Vanguard program alerted us that it was time to inspect our bilge pumps. It's a good thing, too, because our port side pump was broken. This was the first time we replaced one, and taking Nigel Calder's Marine Electronics course at Cruiser's University last October helped prepare us for the task.
Finally, we made a quick trip home to visit the Miami Boat Show, see our families, spend time a my parents' antique steam car museum, The Collection on Palmetto (see link below), and attend Jeff's friend's wedding in Miami.
We packed a lot into these 18 minutes, so we hope you watch the whole thing. Enjoy and thank you!

Thanks! He was so happy to hear. Check them out on Spotify I think (we don’t use it so not too sure). The band is Nevertel
Adrienne - Total Respect!!!! You are in hot electrician!!!!
Jeff - Did a great job fetching the screwdrivers !!!
Your videos and tunes are awesome! J&J
Thanks J’s! The next time I send her into the bilge, I’m making her do it naked. We’ll get lots more views then because people love to watch people fix stuff. 😳😁😜
@@SailingWindTherapy We will be watching for sure!! Both of us!!!
I’m the guy that prepares all of the mail/packages before going offshore out of Fla! 😃
Not sure what you mean?
@@SailingWindTherapy There is on shore mail and there is offshore mail! Offshore mail has to be placed in different containers to be delivered! I’m the guy that makes sure all the offshore mail goes in the right container for mail day on the islands! 😃
loved that background tune!!! love your videos.
Wow you guys were hauling ass! And I love your music choices too!
Thanks Ron!
was waiting for your videos, love the title song
Thanks Ron. Damon Fowler wrote it for us and we think it’s perfect. 😊 Check him out when you get a chance. He’s an amazing blues artist.
Your hair is also awesome Jeff.💙
I also say Thanks. Adrienne won’t let me cut mine. She loves it too much. 🥰
I knew there was something that drew me to your site! We have a 91 Morgan 45'. Morgan built a great boat. Hard to find info on here but on occasion I have been able to call Florida and talk to people who used to build Morgans. Keep the fun videos coming. Lived in New Port Richey for years and never heard of your parent's place in Clearwater. Will definatlly check it our next time we are in the area. We are in Houston now but head to Playalinda Beach several times a year. Be safe and take care of each other.
Thanks PJ. The Morgan’s are awesome boats. Adrienne’s dad worked directly with Charlie Morgan to build his. Pretty cool. The Collection on Palmetto is pretty new. But definitely check it out the next time you are in town. And thanks as always for your positive thoughts!
@@SailingWindTherapy That's what caught my attention, when you said your father-in-law had designed a boat with Mr. Morgan. We looked at a lot of boats before the Morgan called to us. To be fair, we have chartered cats and I thought once we did Linda would want one. Whew! Thank goodness, she said she actually liked the lean of the monohull since I am not wealthy like some of my RUclips friends! We enjoy your humor and Adrienn's can-do spirit is fun to watch. Keep up the good work.

I always enjoy your videos!!! Thank you!
It’s our pleasure! Thanks for watching.
You have such beautiful hair.💕
Adrienne says Thanks!
Great video as always! Can’t wait until our next visit to the beautiful Bahamas. Is Dad’s car museum in Clearwater or Palmetto? I would love to visit.
Thanks Eric! It's in Clearwater on Palmetto St off of Belcher just North of Coachman. It's pretty awesome there.
@@SailingWindTherapy aha! I was confused because you reference Palmetto in the video. I get it now. I think I would really enjoy visiting and will talk to Judy about it. Enjoy your travels!
Great video! That song from your son's band is awesome, Kat and I loved it and added them to our playlists.
Question, can you text or email me the length of the lines for your bridle when you get a chance? We really like the setup and want to replicate it. The swivel fitting at the anchor are impossible to get right now, tried a bunch locale stores and no one has them nor can they get them right now it seems. I'll try Mantus and see if i can order direct from them.
Hi Patrick, I'll have to get somewhere calmer to measure the bridle. Maybe later today. We have a Mantus swivel on the anchor and love it. And if you're still in Ft. Lauderdale, Nance and Underwood could replicate our bridle set up. They might even know the measurements.
@@SailingWindTherapy We are still here, waiting for Simba to heal, it's going to be at least another 4 to 5 weeks. I'll ask Nance if they still have the measurements, but the mantus swivel is not available anywhere it seems :(
