Nice review. Glad you mentioned the scope tracks well. I've been looking for a video that confirms that. I'm in the market for a new scope, Leupold fan for years but I think I'll give the Vortex a try.
Slightly different scope, Vortex Viper HST 6-24X50 is what I'm considering for hunting out to 300 yd max. Maybe closer to 200 on average. Q; how is it in low light conditions? I'm always pushing the limit on shooting times when whitetail hunting. Want the scope to be good when dusk is dark, and at 200 yds, difficult for me to see. Thanks
I know we all have opinions lol. We have been taking 1000 meter shots for ever with a 10 power scope. The 16 power is just easier to eliminate reticle flooding the target and ID your game. Good shooting though.
Would the Viper HST which is SFP be a good scope for prairie dogs or would a FFP such as the PST be better? I'm thinking FFP might be better if you want to use the reticle hash marks at any range.
I belong to a range in Jersey very limited on shooting in this state. There is a range tho has 300 yards I'm taking this scope should be very good for it at target shooting?
Nice shooting man, thanks for the review and the lack of BS in your review. This is how it should be done. All the info I need, and none I don't.

+Vaughn Precision This scope has now been on several rifles and still tracks. Great scope for the money.
How does this scope do in low light conditions?
That is some insane shooting. Wish I could shoot like that!

Hi Michael, sorry but Sam Millard is no longer on our staff. You might post that question on the Rokslide optic forum at www.rokslide.com/forums

If your plan is to shoot different ranges quickly at a magnification other than full. I would get the FFP.
Reticle size directly correlates to your magnification size on a FFP.
Is that panhandle precision?
Yes, when he was still with Rokslide.
I was wondering the same think lol

It's a great target scope for the money. I take mine out to 1000 yards regularly. Will work fine at 300.
