Captain Nick i just love watching you on your channel keep up the great work. Stay safe and have the best time fishing. I will be going fishing this weekend
Thank y'all so much for continuing to make videos and provide us with content to watch it really does make the time we are stuck at home better. I personally have put myself under a no contact with anyone not leaving my yard until the 16th of this month.
CRR...Cpt Rick Rocks! Really enjoy all the Stanczyk channels. Please keep the content coming. Used to fish Flamingo and did well in and around Cape Sable, especially middle cape cut.
I saw that you're using a Forschner, great knives! There is some nice cheek meat on tripletail, there's also nothing wrong with that top fin piece, I also keep that fin meat off flounder. I dust in flour & bread crumbs and fry it, when done it almost looks like calamari. Keep up the great videos, you guys down there are living the dream!
@@jknn5659 Victorinox has long produced other kitchen cutlery under their own name and the Forschner brand name. In 2011 Victorinox stopped using the Forschner name and produces the same knives with the Victorinox name.
I've gotta check out the back country. My Wife and family have experienced some off shore and some bottom fishing close in marathron. We had a blast, and so much fish, that's why it's my favorite place to go. I do love the keys ! Some day maybe me and my wife will live there . our dream.
I just subscribed to your channel after watching DMFD. You sure know what you're doing out there!!! What an awesome channel!!! Keep these videos rolling 👊👊👊 Thanks
Caught some great Tripletail in Apalachicola in late Feb this year. One monster that was 31" had to fight for about 20 mins but finally was able to boat him! They are excellent eating and I still have a freezer full of flllets. Y'all stay safe and ride this thing out and we all will be back on the water pretty soon🐟🐠😎
StanzFam Yea man my guide said its the 2nd biggest he has ever had on his boat and he has been fishing there for over 12 years😎 It was a monster and when I finally got him in the line was so frayed it was almost broken!
I fish in southeast Louisiana and those trout we simply call specs or speckled trout. For inshore fishing it’s one of the most prized fish because of our liberal 25 fish per person limit and they are delicious fried in fish fry batter. Great vid.
Looks great Nick! Also, Freeman Boats are built about a mile from my house in Summerville, SC! Can't wait to get back down to BnM when this virus is over!
A cap full of vinegar in some cold water in the fridge for a couple of hours and the worms will come out on their own. We get em in crappie here as well and that’s how we get rid of em.
StanzFam yes and then in the fridge and the worms will come out on their own. I always soak the crappie we catch here that way to get em out. I use about a cap full to a gallon of water and change it every couple of hours depending on how long I’m soaking em.
Eye Talian Dressin. That's some country slang. I think. Love your videos man. Taking my boat down to the keys in a few weeks from Jacksonville, cant wait!
Did I see that right? Is that a bent rod with a fish on in the rod holder behind Nick at about 7:25 - 7:40 and while the triple tail is going in the cooler? Something was moving that rod in the back port side gunnel.
Down here in Louisiana we target speckled trout ( yellow mouth ) great eating fish fresh I personally don’t like to freeze them but a lot do great eating fish
Glad to see your staying on the water. Giving us some good fishing to watch! Thx stay safe! Maybe take bushel of bananas on the boat with ya next time and it will get rid of this covid crap! Lol
Happy for you but I’m jealous. Caught a beauty sea trout the other day here inSW Fl and had to let it go as they are catch and release right now. Keep up the great vids.
Ok, triple tail, Cooking instruction Sauté pan Olive oil & butter....salt and pepper fish, lightly both sides. Medium heat, sauté until flaky.... separate and plate as thinner parts get done, thicker parts stay in until, just flaking Serve with Lemon and butter.... omg, the best Flavor of fish is retained and texture is beautiful
Epic Captain Nick as always. Captain Nick where can I get a quote on a swordfish trip? I can't seem to find it on your Islamorada website. I cannot wait till all this is over.
You are growing like a weed brother and so is the trash stash lol I’m glad to see your channel growing finally mine is almost a 2000 subs and I will not give up until I get to where you are

Hey cap! Like to hear your opinion on catching -keeping billfish. We grew up with the billfish foundation "catch and release " mentality. Have things changed or are there a bunch of misinformed guys out there?
We keep a fair amount of swordfish but I did grow up releasing sails and the occasional marlin. It is strange how some fish years ago were designated as gamefish and others weren’t. Gamefish and sportfish are definitely valuable to the fishing industry, but I don’t see anything wrong with keeping a fish as long as the stocks and populations are healthy
I'm VERY tired of hearing about the virus! I enjoy your videos very much but tire of being constantly reminded of the temporary condition, that we will soon escape!
You may not be able to fill a freezer in the back country but last time I fished out of B&M with Capt Sisung we had enough Mangrove and bonus big Cero mac that we ate fish for 3 days while staying down there.
Triple tail is good but trout is amazing 👍great video

Love the little boat but also love the Freeman Nice mustache too
What are the reasons to release a fish?
He's using Sadie's fork to turn the fish ... Lol ...
Was the Snook not keep able to big ?
I want to try some snook for chow . Skinned of course.
We release most of them, most guides just treat them as a game fish here. We have other eating fish most the time to focus on for dinner
Ive always wanted to catch a triple tail, iv never seen one everytime i check crab pots
Great fishing, but I like the girls!
🙌🏻🙌🏻
How come ou dont show bleeding them out? Do you do it as soon as you catch it? Great job you guys love your channel
RUclips demonetizes some of the videos when you show it
Me and my friend were flounder fishing in northeast Florida and we got a giant tripletail on bottom. It was about 15 pounds easy
That’s a whopper!
Beautiful peixe parabéns 👏🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
What braid are you using on the spin fisher? I noticed you use it on a lot of your lighter tackle rigs. Love the vids keep it up.
I use Berkley or spider wire on mine, not sure what my brother had on his rods
StanzFam thanks
I had 15# braid
Captain Nick what bait did Sarah use to get the triple tail?
Shrimp
Thx bud
We call them hardheads on the coast of Texas!!
Can you explain how the dehook thingy works?
It gets the hook with the fish on it upside down , and the fish shake off
what did the Snook Measure ??
36”
lol if that is quarantine then quarantine me for life.....
Does Spotted sea trout taste like a rainbow up here in the northwestern region ?
I believe it tastes different as I’ve never heard them compared
can you recommend a guide to catch redfish from bud Marys area
Lots of guides there fish for them. Check with my brother at www.islamoradatarpon.com
What rod setup were u using when u caught the snook?
Catfish a great eating. If you don't like them you can freeze them and send them up here Where I will eat them
Why don't you reel them in closer to the boat and pull them in to the boat ?
