That was so sad my friend. My husband bought a storage auction and I got a 1928 stroller and walker they both were in ment condition. I bleached them and really didn’t even have to do that. The instruction and value tags still on them. Then I got a 1968 car seat in same condition. He was going to throw them away! I couldn’t piece it! Of course I wouldn’t let him. They are in my nursery. I will keep my eyes open for that for you.
But you could probably try to take it apart Misty and clean it up. I had one similar to that and I was able to take it apart and stick the fabric pieces in the washer and then just bleach everything out but the fact that you paid a couple hundred dollars for it. That’s really sad and by the way you’ve been on my mind today it’s Monday morning. I hope your morning went well
I would but the seat cover is plastic and dry rotted, and cracked, and if I get it wet at all, it will get into the foam, which appears to also be dry rotted from heat. I feel like this was up in an attic somewhere where it was really hot! You can’t take the plastic seat cover apart or out, it’s fully attached to it, it’s not removable so I would have to spray the whole thing down and bleach it. which would be fine but because it’s dry rotted and cracked in many places it’ll just ruin it. It’s just gonna come apart. 😭
I did file a claim because it was torn on the seat so with all of the cracks and tears you can't really scrub it or it'll get the foam inside wet and it will rot because it's so old.
I’m so sorry for you. Such a shame for the seller. Sometimes I buy vintage stuf and refurbish it. What i use is sanitaise soap and put it in the sun outdoors. Things that are become a bit yellow over the years will lighting up to go white again. ( fisherprice) I refurbised a lot of toys for my children and nowadays for my reborns. Wish you weren’t so far away. I found a high chair on the street, from the 70. Cleaned it up, restore the insert with Bamby ( Brown and Orange origanals from disney) and its is Beautiful again. I’m so happy with it! My Liam is sitting in it. Wish I could send you a picture here. Send it in your e-mail. Hope you get a refund. ❤ from Holland. 💋
