Still, it was really cool to see the shadow come rushing across the sky towards us and then, 4 min or so later, to see the shadow retreat at equal speed. Absolutely amazing.

    You can’t really experience the true awesomeness of many things in cities. This goes for eclipses. We had perfection. Orange firing ring goes dark and turns into a yellow moonlight hue. Though dark it looked like a full moon light wise.. You have a 360 degree sunset. The sad part is our top of the technology chain cellphones could not produce the image we saw with our naked eyes. Neither could any of the cameras posting videos of the Eclipse.

    • @anonym5510
      @anonym5510 5 месяцев назад +2

      Thats cause camera sensors arent designed to be pointed at things that bright, they actually can destroy the camera. There were probably many people who saw their phone camera get damaged by pointing it at the eclipse

The cloud covered the sun 99% of the time. Most parking fees jumped from between $10-$20 to $40-$60. We were able to get $20 parking but a little bit far. Driving home was crazy - worst traffic of my life. Im glad I witnessed it but the cloud should have done better 😂.

      I live in Indianapolis and the path of totality was straight over my city, so I was very fortunate to step outside and look up at it. There were partly cloudy skies but they didn’t cover anything and what little clouds there were didn’t bother anything, they were very thin clouds so it was near perfect conditions where I am at. My home security cameras wound up going into infrared mode because of how dark it had gotten.

    If you trusted the forecast 48 hours out, you’re not happy. Much better to see an eclipse in clear skies, obviously.

    This is totally not the experience you actually get in a totality. The film makes it way darker than it is in reality. It is not in anyway totally dark. Any cloud at all in front makes it entirely not very noticeable other than it looks like a summer storm

    You should have put a couple of cameras in an animal enclosure to see how they would react.

    I’m so happy I was able to sit in my back yard as well as go across the street to the Highschool football field, sit on the bleachers in clear skies and watched the entire thing. It was amazing to see the rays like lasers on the ground and in the air as it was covered. All that Niagara Falls (Canada) hype for cloud cover in the end. 🤷‍♂️⚫️

    It was cloudy and it got really dark for a few minutes, so I missed seeing the Corona, later when the sun did come out it was over.
    So I cast my shadow over an anthill eclipsing a thousand ants and we all celebrated for a few seconds.
