He does A-Z on any music he sings. He knows how it should be sung and background he controls 100% as he has sung in his mind and sings like he wants. NO GENRE ...they should have a DIMASH GENRE. He write and wrote much in teen years, Igor came out of retirement to write for Dimash. He is AWESOME as well.

Dimsh's parents are officially national treasures in Kazakhstan due to their contributions to Kazakh music and culture.
Dimash is not just a talented singer. From the age of five he has been trained in piano and voice. Dimash has completed a Broadway Musical master class. He has graduated in Classical Music with Major in Vocal (Bel Canto) and also in Contemporary Music (Jazz, Pop) with Major in Vocal. He has also gained a Master's Degree in Composition by defending his Master's thesis with a perfect score, and received a recommendation for admission to doctoral studies in music. Dimash is known to play six instruments, piano and keyboards, dombra, drums, guitar, marimba and bayan, but probably has an intricate understanding of many more. He speaks Kazakh and Russian, and has an understanding of English and Mandarin. He has performed songs in 12 different languages. With all that knowledge and expertise it is highly likely that Dimash would have and well expect to have almost total creative control of his own performances.

There is a video of what went on "backstage" on the singer show and he meets with the producers and musical director. He kinda irritates them when he asks them to do things differently or his way. He demonstrates what he wants on the keyboard and they comment on his abilities being very different from others and that in the end they do respect his requests. He's been doing arranging since he was a kid and being a multi-instrumentalist, he knows what he wants!
I remember seeing that bit; he didn’t like the drums coming in at a certain point or something. I wasn’t sure who actually won that argument!

Dimash is so much more than just vocal pyrotechnics. His emotional intelligence is palpable in his most recent works QAIRAN ELIM and QARAGYM AI, both in Kazakh and both brilliant.
You’re on a journey of discovery now, but it doesn’t have to be linear.
Everything he does is really high quality and nothing will disappoint, particularly taken in context eg in a concert , but even apart as stand alone performances. He’s a star.
He is flawless. I can't find a singer as good as him in my life.
Being a Dear myself, I still smile when I hear about fans praising this performance. Obviously they would, right? After all they are fans and with his technical ability he would have to screw up a performance ridiculously bad for people to start complaining. 😅 But yea, he did a good job here.

He almost sounds like he is doing solo guitar licks. I have never seen another singer put so much passion in every song, sometimes it almost sounds like crying within his voice. He is always one hundred percent in the moment in every song. Dimash uses his vocal ability, emotions, gestures ,vocal tones and phrasing and leaves you woven and encapsulated with each performance.

Dimash basically does all or most of the composing, arranging, additions of all those special somethings.. he has great support but it’s basically all driven by his artistry, that’s why his songs are always so interesting.

Dimash works on all of his songs with his friend Erlan Bekchurin. There are many videos and photos of them together in the studio. Dimash “sees” and “feels” the song and Erlan understands him well and makes it happen. Dimash always has the last word and gets it the way he wants it. Erlan is an incredible musician and arranger. The symbiosis is amazing. Same thing with Igor Krutoy, who has written and arranged many of the songs Dimash sings. Some of the songs are arranged by both Igor and Erlan.

Dimash has a Master Degree in Music Composing (along with Master Degree in Classical Singing and Master Degree in Contemporary Singing). That time he was probably just studying it. I think he pretty much participating in music arrangements for this song as for many of his songs.

Great reaction, thanks.. Yes Dimash has a lot of courage as an artist.. Those melismatic runs are just extraordinary, especially the last one which he ends with an incredibly long note with vibrato its so awe inspiring to watch and listen to! It's like he's flying and we fly with him. I've noticed in most of his music that he is able to take the listener to particular places and feel particular things.. Samaltau, Autumn Strong, Daybreak, Daidedau are all examples of this. I'm following your Dimash journey with interest..
You should also check out Diana Ankudinova, she's a teenager that was an orphan in Russia and was adopted and then found by Igor krutoy, I guarantee you have never heard anything like her! She's done Wicked Game, and a few others but her voice is something else!!
Hi Bud, Awesome reaction, Dimash once again takes an epic song and makes it his own!! Dimash has always done his own arranging, almost everything he sang in Singer 2017 was re arranged by himself working with the shows musical director. These days he works a lot with his long time friend and now his arranger Erlan Bekchurin who worked on this one with him. 👍👍👍😊😊
I really enjoy your reactions because I remember so well how I felt when I first discovered Dimash. All his performances are amazing but some good ones to check out: Samaltau (Tokyo Jazz festival version, Screaming (both the live Idol Hits and the music video version) they're done completely different and both are worth watching, his duet with Yugang doing Drunken contessa/Diva Dance, Love is Like a Dream.
