Rave majority of guns that are semi or full auto (even bolt actions have on right as ur chambering new round with ur right) have charging on right as ur right handed. If it was on left and you hold it close it would get caught on ur clothes or break ur teeth on bulpups. Ar have it on right as well. Xm7/mp5 have on left but it's very far from you.
